This is a great place to visit if you are Georgia O'Keefe's fan. I regard it as a gallery with small selection of pictures which are well displayed. The museum part is the film about her life, together with some photographs taken mainly by Alfred Stieglitz. We enjoyed our visit, though the sound system/film should be updated... Our favorite painting:... more

I left the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum wowed by the woman, the art and the inspiration to dive into my own creative work. The films and docent talk both provided information that was new to me about this artist, and visitors can see works of hers that are more obscure than what they might know from art appreciation class. Many of... more

If you're an O'Keefe fan, then this museum is a must-see. The collection provides a great overview of her work, and is the largest I've encountered. We went on a Friday night, so it was free! Parking was the biggest frustration. Very little was available next to the museum, and it took us over 15 minutes until we found a... more

Was surprised to find that the Georgia O' Keefe museum does not have a very good collection of Georgia O'keefe paintings. You can get a sense of the artist and her philosophies through the short films presented and through her numerous quotations stencilled on the walls. The admission was eight bucks each for my wife and I, and our 16... more

We went as soon as they opened for the day and did not have to fight for viewing time. Although you can't get nose to canvas with the work, you can get as close as you need to and really view the details. If you are a fan or maybe especially if you aren't, it is well worth the visit... more

The museum was fine. We enjoyed the seeing the small collection and learning about her philosophy and life in the films. We had wanted to do a tour of her house and studio but it was booked through the week after. We took the drive to Abiqui and enjoyed the scenery that inspired her. We thought it was worthwhile. more

Other reviewers are correct - this is a small musuem. We went on Free Friday night so weren't disappointed in feeling that we did not get our money's worth. I definitely enjoyed the two short films that gave detail into her life and art. It's nice to go and just respond to the art - and her quotes on the... more

I am a fan of O'Keeffe's work and was very excited to go to the museum. I thought "Wow, only $4! What a deal!" I thought thier collection was poor. There were a few good ones, but nothing I felt was worth the entry fee. I tend to spend HOURS at a time in good museums (sometimes I'll go back... more

We enjoyed the museum and seeing the O'Keeffe sketches and paintings. The exhibit area is smaller than expected but worth seeing her originals. The movie that is shown is very interesting but the sound system is antiquated and needs to be updated. We went to Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu and did the horseback ride tour which was wonderful. It shows... more

The museum was closed for hanging, and when this happens an alternate tour to another museum featuring Georgia's personal effects is provided. We saw her paintbox, sketches, brushes, bone and rock collections, walking shoes, and much more. It was breathtaking. As good as seeing her paintings. more
