We just returned to Colorado from a four days and nights trip to Santa Fe. On our last evening we dropped by the Dragon Bar for a drink before dinner. Simply put, the Dragon Bar had the very best Margaritas we sampled on our trip. Between my wife and I, we sampled the premium Silver Coin Margarita, the Black Dragon... More

We stopped by here during happy hour for a few drinks. The decor is worth popping in to check out. Happy hour prices are worth it. We had both the prickly pear and classic margaritas - both met our expectations. Outside of the bar, you could also get drinks on the patio by a small fire - nice touch in... More

Read rave reviews of their happy hour...not sure why...everything tasty but fairly expensive (12.95 prickly pear margarita which lacked any discernible flavor, save sour). Bartender was friendly and accommodating. There are other, equally good, less expensive places to go in Santa Fe.

This review waited until I got a few visits to The Dragon Room under my belt. It's just an overall great bar. Any attire is welcomed - you'll find customers dressed to the nines sitting beside someone who just stopped by after a hard day painting artwork. Everyone is truly welcomed. There are a few seating options. There's the main... More

The Dragon Room is a Santa Fe original! Fascinating diverse patrons from well mannered cowboys to old hippie artists and every type in between! Friendly attentive staff, excellent bartenders and delicious food. A while back the family who owned it sold it and it quickly went down hill however they bought it back & despite many challenges they brought it... More

We wandered by around 9:45 pm on a Friday night looking for a place to eat dinner as we had just arrived in town. The bartender was taking a break outside and welcomed us in saying they had great food and live music that night. We were not disappointed. The food was the best we had during our stay in... More

We popped in for a nightcap and found ourselves still there 2 hours later! The ambience was soothing, the crowd mellow and the company delightful. It's a small kitschy place with soft lighting, plants and small seating areas. It was a perfect place to spend the evening.

We loved this bar, especially the margaritas and popcorn. It had a nice quiet quirky atmosphere. The wine was very expensive - at $9 a glass I think it is overpriced.
