Owner description: Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among pinons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

While this massage experience was pricey, it was well worth it for an afternoon of relaxation! The service was wonderful, the massage therapists attentive.

My husband and I spent several days this month at Ten Thousand Waves. As always, it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the tubs every night, hiked the beautiful grounds, and stayed in dog friendly Full Moon. Our boxer traveled with us this trip. We recommend the Waves if you want/need a totally stress free, relaxing few days. Our only... More

Professional, courteous, beautiful, clean, and well-maintained are all words I'd use to describe the spa here at Ten Thousand Waves. I'd heard from many people, from working in the hospitality industry in Santa Fe, that TTW is a must-do. I'm so satisfied with my experience, I'll now be a regular guest. After a long week at work I'd decided to... More

Each time we visit Santa Fe, this is a MUST stop since I stumbled across it while skiing there. So peaceful, so professionally operated, even on the busiest days. We've never been able to stay there because we don't usually go to SF with a lot of notice and the lodging is limited. I'd like to try that sometime. Whether... More

Be prepared for total indulgence at this spa! Easy to book an appointment and wonderful massage service! The restaurant next to the spa (part of the facility) is worth going to after the spa.

This spa doesn't need my review; it draws a steady crowd. I liked the relaxed, casual feel of the place and the mix of tourists, repeat customers, and locals who seem to come to use the baths. My husband and I had massages in a double room, which was nice to share. We're a gay couple and I didn't feel... More

Every one was telling me how good is this place, so I decided to try, the place is very nice, simple, bambu, stone, wood, and water. I wouldn't said luxurious, at least the common areas. But beautiful anyway. I got the 50 min massage, ohhh!!! Was really fantastic, the facility ( massage room) was very simple, too simple maybe... But... More

My wife & I spent a Halloween afternoon at this wonderful Japanese inspired spa in the mountains just outside of Santa Fe. We did not stay here but I would imagine that experience would enhance the overall adventure. We did eat lunch at their restaurant and I would highly recommend that option. Our overall stay was wonderful with an hour... More

How could wave after wave of mountains not be attractive to gaze upon? Walking up and down them wave after wave maybe not so. I was there on an overcast day so not conducive for photos, but non-the-less pleasing to the eyes. A close drive from Santa Fe. Planning a hike would extend time spent to our own schedule. Easy... Ten Thousand waves is located in the mountains of Santa Fe. Parked in the lower parking lot and it was a pretty steep climb, I didn't have an issue however my mother was a bit winded. I didn't realize that there were closer lots to the top. The scenery is breath taking and adds to the charm. Upon checking in... More
