Description: Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring...
Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among pinons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

What a zen, re-invigorating, amazing experience....10,000 is one of the best and most relaxing spa experiences around. The location is gorgeous, and the private tub rooms are surrounded by lush landscape. We had herbal wraps, salt glows and massages....what a treat! Will definitely be back again.

I have been going to Ten Thousand Waves since the year they opened. It has expanded from a few hot tubs, a cold plunge and a cozy fireplace reception (with a resident Akita,) to a sophisticated spa with lovely accommodations and a delicious Japanese-style tapas restaurant. Every addition has been lovingly thought out and executed with had hewn and fitted... More

The entire experience was just wonderful. The Nose to Toes massage just does it for me. I even bought a t-shirt from the shop. Sitting there soaking my feet reading and relaxing was just wonderful. Thanks

So relaxing, clean, beautiful area. Emphases on CLEAN, I visited another springs business in California this year that was very rustic. This place was updated, staff was friendly. Highly recommend!

We have only experienced the spa. We chose to bypass the restaurant as there are so many places in Santa Fe. It gets lots of business so don't wait if you think you might want to reserve sessions. It is a fully complete spa with many choices. Every time we have gone we have had very good experiences. It is... More

Spa, rooms and property fantastic. Quiet and rekaxing. Resturant average. Not too far out of town. Staff very curt and unfriendly. Difficult to make spa reservations. No reply to emails pre visit.

Our final stop on a trip around New Mexico, and what a stop it was. Don't miss the (expensive) 80-minute Thai massage. Zonked-out bliss, we used to call it. My wife had three treatments in two days; I just luxuriated in the Thai treatment (until I saw the bill). Perfect way to end the trip. And don't miss the wonderful... More

We were 4 ladies, age range 50's to 80's on a 3 day visit to Santa Fe. We found this spa on TripAdvisor. Since the 91 stairs would have been difficult for one of our party, we were told to park up the hill in the handicap area. Great idea. The lunch at the restaurant was very good. The wait-staff... This was the most beautiful spa that I've ever been to and it was in a nice location. It was in a woodsy area. The spa had a very earthy, naturist look.I came here after I finished my hike, which was down the road. Upon arriving at this spa I had some additional hiking to get to the spa. It... More

Kirsten--thanks for your nice words. Give us a call in advance next time and we'll be sure to have a longer massage for you. Sorry if relinquishing your driver's license was inconvenient. Prepayment often doesn't work since many people add services, retail, or food during their stay. Also, the photos on the license makes it easy for us to find... More
