Type: Hot Springs/ Geysers, Wellness & Spas
Owner description: Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among pinons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

We've been to the Waves many times since we live here. The therapists have always been excellent, very respectful, personable and professional. We have always gotten a private hot tub which we've always found clean and ready to go. The locker rooms are nice and have extra amenities. We've never been kept waiting for anything. Recently we also tried the... More

You must visit when you are in Santa Fe. Tucked away in the mountains this resort spa is a great way to relax after a day of skiing or hiking. Get a private tub and stay a while, hang out in the sauna or meditation room. You'll leave smelling like juniper trees and feeling relaxed.

We loved our morning at Ten Thousand Waves! The communal tub was relaxing, the sauna warm and we were even able to lie in the sun without being cold. That Santa Fe sun and blue skies are wonderful! If you are brave, jump in the freezing cold bath to cool off after sauna! Be sure to try out the Japanese... More

We chose a private hot tub after a long day of traveling. It was just great. The staff was friendly and the facilities we well maintained. It was a chilly night and the warm water felt amazing. We could even see the stars. We'll be back!

This was our second visit and can't say enough good things about Ten Thousand Waves. The spa, the grounds, the service, atmosphere, lodging and restaurant are all tops. Anyone visiting Sante Fe and not stopping here is missing out on a very special experience.

Relaxing zen like atmosphere with many soak and massage options. Only cons: book in advance & it's expensive.

While this massage experience was pricey, it was well worth it for an afternoon of relaxation! The service was wonderful, the massage therapists attentive.

My husband and I spent several days this month at Ten Thousand Waves. As always, it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the tubs every night, hiked the beautiful grounds, and stayed in dog friendly Full Moon. Our boxer traveled with us this trip. We recommend the Waves if you want/need a totally stress free, relaxing few days. Our only... More
