Owner description: Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among pinons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

We had reserved Ichiban and asked if we could by any chance bring our pup in with us. "Sure", they said. We were met by very friendly staff, who showed us to the serene bathing environment of Ichiban. There are two giant ceramic tubs for soaking baby blue in color. The tubs have no jets just nice warm soaking. A... More

My husband and I have been to 10,000 Waves many times, and it continues to provide a very good spa experience. This time we rented a private tub, which included a sauna and a small rest area. It was a great thing to do before our massages, which were both very good. I also enjoyed the women's tub and the... More

The saunas and pools are great. Private baths or communal. Overnight lodging also there. The restaurant is very good too.

My Wife and I just loved this place. We ate at the Japanese Restaurant there and the food was delicious. However small portions and $$$. We then went to relax in the public spa area. They provide everyting you need. Kimono and flip flops. Nice clean showers, towels, lockers and all shower needs. This area is clothing optional which we... More

My bridesmaids and I had a spa day at Ten Thousand Waves on the day before my wedding. From our soak to our massages, it was the PERFECT way to wash wedding stress away and prepare for the big day!

This place is our go-to place for a wonderful weekend. The hot tubs, private and public, are exceptional. We especially prefer the private tubs. Try them all; they are each unique. The massages are world class, especially the Masters massages... and we've never had a bad massage there. Then there's the Houses of the Moon... their small collection of rooms... More

This is a great little Japanese style spa with hot soaking pools, saunas, meditation rooms, and tremendous menu of treatments. Great staff, wonderful facials. The facility is built on the side of a hill and is rustic. The pools were surrounded by snow. Prices pretty standard for spas.

Great massage services as well as other treatments. The prices are a little high but the ambiance and care of the staff compensate. However, there is a communal hot tube and sauna that is included in that price. Mir you wish, you can just pay for the hot tub, etc. The location is on the road to the ski area... More
