George was our tour guide. He and his wife own Walkabout Tours. We chose the Turquoise Trail. It was a 4 hr. tour. We went to Cerrillos and Madrid. George, being a real history buff, was so knowledgeable and had so many vivid details on everything. He made everything come alive! We took all back roads. Even saw a small... More

We had arranged to go on the tent rocks trail. Our guide was a young and very enthusiastic female named Julia. She picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the national park for the hike. We really enjoyed this hike. My wife and I don't get the chance to do this sort of thing very often. So... More

I would recommend this to everyone who visits Santa Fe Views you won't believe and you can see for miles. Go out and see what New Mexico was like 150 years ago.

Took a 3 hours Pinzgauer tour out on old Route 66. Let's call this waaaaaaaaay off road. Stopped at various locations to take pictures and listen to some history of the area. The roads (if you want to call them roads) are rough and quite bouncy. 20 to 40 degrees off center without tipping over (I believe we did a... More

The tour started with them (Joe) picking us up at the Bishops lodge (very prompt) He was a font of information about the area and funny to talk with. We saw the old route 66 and some switch backs that I cannot believe that model T or A could negotiate. We saw the remains of what looks like a 1930... More

We went on the Rio Grande Overlook off-road adventure in a Pinzgauer. Next time we'd book it with a hike, the area is so wondrous. We were picked up at our Santa Fe vacation rental and headed to the national forest. The road got quite bumpy, much to children's delight (it's most stable closest to the cab). But is the... More

I learned so much about New Mexico, and much of the United States, from my tour guide Robert on the La Bajada 4X4 tour!! Viewing the major geological formations from a panoramic perspective while being provided with local insight & perspective was extraordinary--much like the gorgeous monsoon-season cumulus clouds billowing all across the landscape!!! I cannot emphasize how educational, but... More
