If you like chocolate...gotta go! Elixirs are really very tasty. Great caramels. Good place to buy a gift box of chocolates with a unique chili twist.

Kakawa's chocolate offerings are delicious and irresistible. The staff is un failingly upbeat, courteous, generous, and knowledgeable. I love going in with friends and have done so often. It's always a wonderful experience, nourishing in every way.

I love chocolate but I'm used to commercial chocolate that has been sweetened. It's quite a treat to drink 100% pure chocolate. When I arrived they gave me a sample of European style chocolate, which was sweetened and about 72% chocolate. I wanted to dry the Meso-American chocolate which was 100% chocolate (with additional ingredients like coconut sugar). I sampled... More

We always visit the Kakawa Chocolate House each visit to Santa Fe. We had the Mexican Chile hot chocolate and it was perfect on Christmas Eve night walking back from the celebration on Canyon Road . . . It just doesn't get much better than caroling on Canyon Road, snow falling, piñon wood burning, and Mexican Chile hot chocolate.

A friend told me that I had to visit Kakawa Chocolate House and I am grateful that they did! Its not located near places that I typically visit in Santa Fe so you have to put this place on your agenda (its past Canyon Road). But definitely stop in. Its small and may have a wait but be sure to... More

We stopped here for their famous chocolate/chile elixirs. What a taste!! The hot chocolate goes down with a semi sweet taste. Then, the chile kicks in and warms your throat and stomach.Incredible!!

Such a busy place but the staff was still happy to give samples to help with decision making and remain pleasant! Such a welcome change from the bad customer service we have come to believe is the norm in this town

Visited the cafe on a very busy pre-Christmas afternoon. The service was outstanding and so where the chocolates which stand any comparison to possibly more renowned competitors in Switzerland or Belgium.

Their hot chocolates are absolutely delicious. Interesting combinations of spices and not overly sweet or heavy. Many use almond milk, i.e., much lighter. Definitely a treat whenever I am in Santa Fe. In addition, the chocolates made in house are the ultimate treat. Do not skip on these!
