Don't miss this tiny bit of chocolate heaven tucked into a corner of Santa Fe. We visited as part of a food tour and would return again and again. So many varieties of chocolate that you will find it difficult to limit your choices to one or two. A perfect place to indulge

I had a lovely conversation with 3 friends while sipping chocolate. The staff offered samples before we chose our favorite to enjoy. I bought some sipping chocolate mix, cup and chocolate truffles to take home. When I unpacked my mug at home, I discovered that it was cracked. I called Kakawa and they immediately and kindly sent a replacement. It... More

Kakawa Chocolate House is a local favorite here in Santa Fe, and it is easy to see why. They have a wide range of handcrafted chocolates for you to eat and drink. One of their specialties are chocolate elixirs or drinks which range from sweet to spicy and have elements of ancient recipes dating back to the Mayans. “Kakawa” is... More

Lovely chocolate shop, that should definitely be on the list if you're visiting Sante Fe. We had never had Mexican sipping chocolates (or Drinking Elixirs as they have them displayed), and they were an unexpected treat. We were able to taste several of them so we could more easily decide on which one we wanted to purchase a cup of.... More

If you like different types of chocolate, especially dark, this is a must for you! The hot chocolate options are all fantastically unique. The chocolates match the hot chocolate in diversity. Try either with some chili powder, or go for the prickly pear chocolate

What a charming, friendly shop to visit and enjoy! The friendly owners were welcoming and the sipping chocolate wonderful; we also enjoyed luscious, homemade chocolate ice cream. Can't wait to share the chocolate at home!

While my adult daughter enjoyed the lovely liquid chocolate in the the tiny blue cup with a brownie, I had the rasberry sorbet with hot fudge sauce. What a great way to end our visit to Santa Fe. I can understand why this is the #1 activity in town. In addition, the location is convenient, the service friendly, and the... More

Cozy location, friendly service, great vibe, blissful liquid chocolate. My husband had the Jeffersonian 70% chocolate drink with almond milk and nutmeg, I had the sugar-free Aztec Warrior with 100% chocolate, chili, spices and flowers. The drinks were served in the most beautiful blue and white ceramic cups. Merely looking at the creamy liquid in the pretty cups made us... More

What a wonderful way to spend a chilly, raining Santa Fe afternoon with my cousin: Sharing a dark chocolate souffle, sipping a chili-seasoned chocolate elixir in a petite Talavera ceramic cup, laughing and building more memories together. How lovely it was in this cozy spot, walls decorated with colorful milagros, small chairs for little ones to enjoy something chocolate and feeling... More
