Besides a variety of Hot Chocolate, that you can sample. Kakawa also has some really great gluten free cookies and brownies. Try some.

We stopped in to Kakawa toward the end of our stay in Santa Fe; having read so much about it, we did not want to miss out! It did not disappoint. We tried samples of several of the drinking chocolates, and I settled on the Chai, which was rich with notes of cinnamon. To pair with the drinking chocolate, I... More

The green chile chocolate truffle was so good we went back the next day for more. We would have gone back a third time if we had had more time.

we wandered into the store and had out first taste and were blown away. The drinks were superb. We purchased a number of the packages with the American being our favorite. The owner was very helpful explaining the process and how easy it is to make the drinks at home. We will come back.

After reading the Washington Post's article "A Chocolate House's Excellent Elixirs" I had to visit the famed chocolate shop during my trip to Santa Fe. My family and I started out with some of the safer elixirs. The first one we had was the 1775 Marie Antoinette, which had (among other ingredients) 70% cacao, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and orange... More

Had a great experience on our trip. So glad they had samples to try so everyone in our group was able to get something specifically to their palette. This is a very unique place, too bad they close so early.

My sons & I visited this tiny gem on a recent trip to New Mexico. It was pretty busy, but the service was excellent. We had the American Elixir, The New Mexican Elixir, & the Aztec Elixir in the smallest size, which is plenty! The cups & saucers were beautiful and slightly bigger than thimbles...however, the sipping chocolate was thick... More

So many hot chocolates it was difficult to choose just one. The chocolate treats are excellent and the service was very friendly.

Stopped here after a day of sightseeing and shopping near downtown Santa Fe. Impressive array of chocolate elixirs, baked goods and chocolates. Able to sample many of the elixirs. I'm not the world's biggest chocolate fan, but the service and selection will make me return. The Tzul elixir transported us to a better place! Not to be missed!!

What a great find and we can definitely see why Kakawa has been listed in the top 10 luxurious places to have hot chocolate in the world! Our greeting on arrival was welcoming and friendly and Tony couldn't have been more helpful. There was a great range of chocolate elixirs infusions to sample and we enjoyed the ones we tried....
