This was a fun experience. They let us try several of the different types of chocolate and then pick which ones we wanted. Some were sweet, some spicy, and some had a rich bittersweet chocolate flavor. It was a cute place to relax and sip chocolate. I got a small, but could not finish it - so rich! More

No Ghiradelli or Hersheys here! The shop takes a historical view of hot chocolate, and offers interpretations of 18th century Europe, Mayan and Colonial America. Very rich, bittersweet and aromatic. More

Not many chocolate houses that serve drinking chocolate - and in such a variety as Kakawa. Amicable staff offers tastings of the delicious drinks served in what appear to be vintage little Mexican mugs. Also, the best caramels I have ever tasted. A great little hang out. More
