What they said!

If you love chocolate, you just gotta go! Especially loved the sipping chocolate and the brownies! Nice to combine with gallery across the street.

While my adult daughter enjoyed the lovely liquid chocolate in the the tiny blue cup with a brownie, I had the rasberry sorbet with hot fudge sauce. What a great way to end our visit to Santa Fe. I can understand why this is the #1 activity in town. In addition, the location is convenient, the service friendly, and the... More

Cozy location, friendly service, great vibe, blissful liquid chocolate. My husband had the Jeffersonian 70% chocolate drink with almond milk and nutmeg, I had the sugar-free Aztec Warrior with 100% chocolate, chili, spices and flowers. The drinks were served in the most beautiful blue and white ceramic cups. Merely looking at the creamy liquid in the pretty cups made us... More

What a wonderful way to spend a chilly, raining Santa Fe afternoon with my cousin: Sharing a dark chocolate souffle, sipping a chili-seasoned chocolate elixir in a petite Talavera ceramic cup, laughing and building more memories together. How lovely it was in this cozy spot, walls decorated with colorful milagros, small chairs for little ones to enjoy something chocolate and feeling... More

Outstanding chocolate. We had to find out why it was #1 on the list. We found out why!!! The liquid chocolate drinks were unlike any other.

Stopped in for a delicious cup of chocolate while touring Santa Fe. The chocolate--note: sipping chocolate--so much more than "hot chocolate"--is served in small cups or take it to go. The owners greet you with tastes of various chocolate drinks, and are knowledgeable about what you may or may not like. We enjoyed a small cup while relaxing in their... More

Love this place. My husband and my preteen adore chocolate. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. We also took some chocolate purchases with us. The owner was super friendly and offered us a tour. Great experience was my daughter! They have a parking area as well. Wish I had a chance to try their homemade ice cream. Always will be... More

My family and I were visiting Santa Fe for the better part of a week, and finding a chocolaterie listed as the #1 restaurant in Santa Fe intrigued me. I figured they must be doing something fairly unique and special, and I was right. We arrived to find the little shop just buzzing with activity. Despite this, when our turn... More

Saw that Kakawa was rated #1 on trip advisor, so we had to check it out while on vacation in Santa fe. As soon as we stepped in the door we were greeted and served samples of chocolate elixirs by the staff and owner. My girlfriend was worried about their being vegan friendly. "Oh, yes this is made with almond... More

Kakawa is a "must visit" if you are in Santa Fe. Amazing sipping hot chocolate and the sea salt caramels are delicious. Wonderful friendly service. We will be back for sure.
