Interesting theater

We attended a free Christmas concert and really enjoyed it. The space is reminiscent of the old theaters that I love; very well preserved and beautiful interior.

Staying in a downtown hotel in Santa Fe near the square and walking through the shopping areas on a cold winter day, we noticed the sign at the Lensic listed a New Years Eve concert. Perfect fit for our afternoon and then coffee at Starbucks just down the street. Great looking "old" theater and the folks made us feel right... More

Have heard many spectacular concerts here and saw circus performances. The acoustic is pleasant and the architecture is Spanish Baroque I believe. Santa Fe Pro Musica and Orchestras play here. A very memorable Bruckner 4th and Beethoven 9th last year. Concerts also at the nearby St. Francis auditorium. Heard all 6 Brandenburgs last winter and will attend the upcoming Royal... More

Gorgeous theater in the heart of Santa Fe. Didn't attend a performance, but got to see the inside of this amazing theater. Definitely worth a look!

We saw Leo Kotke in concert last night. His performance was terrific. The place was packed, the audience was attentive and appreciative. It was great to see an uninterrupted 2 hour concert without so-so warm-up acts. A great venue in a great location.

The Lensic reminds me of the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood with the beautiful carved staircases, plush red velvet seats and iconic opulence of movie and playhouses of the 1920s and 30s. No Chinese, but elegance galore. See anything you can at the Lensic, you'll love it!

We saw a world-class contemporary dance company while we were in town for a long weekend. We bought tickets at the last minute which was a nice option. Nice to have a walkable option for great performing arts while in town for visual arts.

Went with friends to see an African singing group and were most entertained. The theatre could not have been more beautiful or comfortable. Parking was right across the street. I would not hesitate to return.

We saw Dave Grusen and Lee Ritenour in a benefit concert for assistance dogs. The music was great -- the first half was mostly classical and the second half jazz. The charity they were benefitting is a wonderful program and we were inspired to begin making monthly donations to them.

We walked over to the Lensic from our hotel and had a very entertaining evening. The acrobats were amazing, and the theater was beautifully restored and comfortable. Nice to have such a great venue so close to where we were staying. The "Ambassador" volunteers were very helpful. The Lensic crowd is interesting for people watching too...a nice eclectic mix of...
