I have been to over 2 dozen events at the Lensic, from the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet to a retro movie to a rock concert by electric guitarist Steve Vai. The theater was built in 1931 but has been restored, having a great New Mexico/Spanish interior. With only 800 seats, there really isn't a bad seat. The back of the... More

I ordered tickets to attend the Krishna Das concert. I live in Phoenix, AZ. I drove to Flagstaff to pick up a couple of friends that were also attending and realized in Flagstaff that I had left my tickets in Phoenix. It was late, after hours and I called and left a message at the Lensic Box Office. Lise got... More

Fun impromptu evening with great sounds. The theatre going public in Santa Fe is a varied and warm one. You may certainly purchase tickets online in advance but we were fortunate to catch two tickets from the box office the day of the show. The theatre is off the Plaza within walking distance of a great many things. The architecture... More

We got last minute tickets to a Robert Cray concert at this small, architecturally significant venue. RC and his band were great and the venue suited the performers perfectly.

This is a gem that locals get to enjoy year-round for musical and other events that run from the popular to the classical.

Santa Fe is a city that offers so many treasures. When we first moved here from LA and previously NYC, I was a real city girl and thought I would be starved by missing all the great museums and theatre that the cities offer. As we were house hunting we discover the Lensic. It may not offer All the things... More

Lensic is a beautiful old theater, well restored and host to a bevy of cool attractions you might have trouble finding. It's a bit PBS, but if you are into everything from poets to cultural treats, check out the Lensic's schedule of live appearances!

Beautifully renovated theater ala Santa Fe's shades of turquoise & red. Attended end of year performance of Art Spring from NM school of performing arts. Incredible talent evident in students & instructors.

That's how our guide described it. Well, it's really fauxdobe with a Beaux Artes corniche, but not to worry. It's fun to tour any of the old movie palaces and this is a good one. Ornate and regionally characteristic. A bit kitsch, but that's part of the fun.

Old theatre but small enough to hear--they also had the devices to help you hear if you need them. Easy to get to as it is just a few blocks from the square--between the Eldorado hotel and the square. You should check to see what is playing when you arrive.
