We went to Hyde Memorial State Park for hiking because it is dog friendly. We decided on the Circle Trail beginning on the eastern side. It included a 1,000 foot ascent over a short distance, but was manageable for us and our small dog. The hike began as a pleasant mountain trail with a bit of ascent. We met a... More

My husband and I with our small dog wanted to find some easy hiking trails that were not too long to accommodate our small dog. We choose to hike the waterfall trail and we were not disappointed. We arrived at the trailhead and in total the roundtrip time to travel the 1.5 miles was only a couple of hours for... More

The circle trail at hyde park was great this year, the waterfall trail was great also, it actually had water, and lots of it! I been there several times, and it was dry but this time it was flowing big time.!!

My wife and I are seniors looking for easy and somewhat challenging trails. We found it right in our back yard. The Bear Wallow-Winsor trail was just that. Some easy parts and some more demanding. Two and a half hours of pure enjoyment. Don't miss this one!!!

I found a trail on the way to the park. The area was nice and the trail that I hiked was steep to begin with and then it got easier towards the end. There were a lot of trees on this hike. I felt good and I was glad that I continued with the hike. I liked the fact that... More

This is the first time TripAdvisor has let me down. D.O.W.N. Several ( I mean, SEVERAL) people rate this place as 'great', 'awesome "easy" hike', 'beautiful'....If this was true for them, their other hikes were clearly up rock piles and through wastelands. Both my boyfriend and I are in good shape and this 3 mile hike took us 3 1/2... More

Finding this little gem so close to Santa Fe made our trip even more memorable. The entire park is relatively small and we were surprised that it pretty much ends after driving just a few miles up the mountain. We enjoyed some easy to moderate hikes on the trails. There was still some packed snow on some of the trails... More

Definitely recommend! The views are amazing! Park along the way and get onto the many trails for a hike. There are many places to pull over, but be careful because any drivers may stop in the middle of the road! The views are so amazing that I think people sometimes forget they are driving! I haven't seen any accidents, but... More

We red reviews online for sledding here so loaded up and drove up here. The parking lot was full of vehicles which I later found out was people going in to rent skis/snowboards. There was lots of snow and a couple of little hills close to the road where there were already a couple of people sledding. I found the... More

We are supposed to go to Ski Santa Fe and just dropped by to take pictures of the place, ended up here since kids wanted to try sledding and enjoyed it so much that we decided to just stay here. Another good thing is that you only pay for $5.00 parking fee.
