This trip was truly world class. I could have tossed a dime onto the back of one of the adult females who clearly was cruising her way along in peace. Wonderful experience. Markus made sure we all both enjoyed ourselves and learned bunches. Thank you Markus!!

Two friends and I made a day trip out of this from Seattle and had a fantastic time. We didn't get to see orcas, but the landscape was fantastic and the experience was still well worth it. Our guide Rachel couldn't have been better. She was really fun, friendly, and knowledgeable, and everything went like clockwork. Highly recommended!

My husband, son and I went on a tour today. It was amazing. Even though we kayak on our own all the time, we thought it would be great to have a guided tour in unfamiliar waters and the chance to see the whales would be great. Our guide Markus was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable not only on the... More

I have just returned from an extraordinary 3 day Orca kayak trip with our wonderful guide, Elizabeth. The trip was part sport, part adventure, part seminar about Orcas, conservation, marine biology, natural history, and the settlement of the San Juan Islands. (I came home with a reading list.) I can't exaggerate the fun we all had. Our guide was a... More

Went up to Friday Harbor for a weekend getaway, and really wanted to see whales while kayaking. Picked Sea Quest based on other reviews of excellent tours, equipment, etc. Obviously we knew that seeing whales wouldn't be guaranteed. We were picked up right on time by the easy-to-find vans and guides. Our guide, Markus, told us about the island and... More

I came up to the PNW from Southern California to specially go kayaking in the San Juan islands with my best friend. We left at 11:30, when the busses picked us up from the ferry port and came back around 6pm. We got excellent instruction on how to paddle and use the gear, and the boats were really good quality.... Wow, we saw it all; porpoise, jumping fish, deer, otter, eagles, tide pools with star fish, ... and the climax was watching a pod of whales go by. Yes--it was hard work but well worth the effort! Rachel was a wonderful leader and I trusted her decisions. The price for this 3-day trip was more than reasonable and I would... More

Just got back from a fabulous 3 day kayak trip with guide Rachel. Paddled and viewed stunning Salish Sea settings, sunsets, eagles, harbor porpoises, river otters, seals, great blue herons, kingfishers, purple sea stars, and all sorts of intertidal life during tide pool walks. The highlight of the trip was a bioluminescence night paddle in which the sea became a... More

I was very apprehensive about this trip because I wanted it to be awesome and I was having trouble choosing a company to go Kayaking with. It's a big investment!!! We chose Sea Quest and I would do it again. We had great guides, Liam and Elizabeth. The weather was beautiful. Elizabeth was very informative and described animals, plants, and... More
