This is such a beautiful place! Long sweeping grasslands and a beach that stretches out along the shore forever! Lots of places to sit, stroll, take in the view, have a picnic, scour the sand for treasures! Well worth a visit - great for the soul!

I went early in the morning, riding my bike from Friday Harbor. Riding up the hill and then down towards the beach I was taken aback by the beauty. I couldn't wait to get down to the beach. I had the beach all to myself at this early hour. The beach is full of drift wood. I climbed over all... More

We stopped by here on our way back to our place to check out, so we didn't give it the time it deserved, but it was a beautiful drive and a very classic Pacific Northwest spot. Don't miss it. A little construction getting there but it was not a big holdup. Great place to hike around or to just sit... More

This was one of our favorite hikes. We first stopped in the museum and received extensive information about the American Camp and the British Camp, to include the history of the "Pig War". From there, we hiked down to South Beach and had fun seeing all the old logs that have washed up onto the beaches. It was fun to... More

We were there in early August and the weather was fantastic. A postcard shot of the Great Pacific NW. Just up the coast is American Camp National Park and a great beach for picnics or kite flying "South Beach". You can see the Cattle Point light house and all the way down to Admiralty.

We rode our bikes here and along the rolling grassy hill cliffs along the oceans edge. Really stunning views, I was looking for orcas the entire time (didn't see any) as all you want to do is watch the water for life. Did see falcons and hawks flying and hunting in the grass for mice. Neat old buildings to look... More

This is a beautiful area and worth the extra drive. Nice clean beaches to comb on. It has a small interpretative center with signs. There was some construction along the way that held us up for 20 minutes, so beware.

Love walking here! Easy walks across the meadows or along the cliff tops. Start at American camp and walk to South Beach, while watching the eagles, deer, foxes and the odd whale

Can't miss lighthouses when you are visiting an island. Good walking around leisurely. Beautiful scenery.

The views from the point are beautiful. There is an island off the point that is a gathering spot for seagulls. It attracts them by the hundreds. Unfortunately, there weren't any Orcas swimming by when we were there, but it is a great viewing spot when they are there.
