You cannot guarantee to see whales. Its a rip off. The whales here represent the smallest of four resident communities within the eastern North Pacific Ocean. It is the only killer whale population listed as endangered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. It is currently protected under the Endangered Species Act as of 2005. There are 108 whale watching... My wife and two teenage girls spent a wonderful day with Captain Carli and First Mate (Bill and Chris, as we quickly learned) in the vicinity of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. The Captain and his mate run an intimate (6 people during our excursion) full-day snorkeling and sailing adventure aboard their gorgeous 37 foot sailboat. We started our tour snorkeling... More

I came across Captin Carli's Whale Watching online and booked him for a July tour months in advance. Driving with our family of 6 from Minnesota we sere not certain what to expect. We were thrilled with the experience we had from Captain Bill, his boat, the customer service, all of it. Very family friendly environment and we very much... More

I booked a trip with Captain Carli's in April. Nine days before our trip I received an email cancelling the trip. There was no explanation as to why the trip was cancelled just a sorry for the inconvenience. Now mind you I already purchased airfare with Kenmore Air Seaplanes to get out there. Nine days is not much notice with... More

Sorry that your trip was cancelled, and yes you did book months early. However as I explained in our telephone conversation, some family issues came up and I had to deal with them. I did book you on another trip with a friend of mine who I often refer people to when I am full or can't do a tour.... More

We booked this trip online so you are never sure what you are going to get but it was a great experience! Captain Carli was prompt, friendly, and knew the islands well. We felt in very good hands. His boat is a smaller one but were glad we had chosen that over the larger boats where people were packed on... More

I was able to catch Captain Carli after we got off the ferry. My wife had researched him and saw the great reviews. I knew that I didn't want to be on a large boat. I wanted a more intimate experience for my five year old. Captain Carli obviously had experience with kids. He had a dozen stuffed animals for... More

We travelled from the East Coast for this adventure. I just have to say that Captain Carli made us feel very comfortable on his 6 passenger boat. He went beyond to find the whales and we saw a lot of Orca's in a few different areas that he took us to. I think by taking a smaller boat it was... More

At first we were very doubtful about the boat and captain. But once the trip started, it was amazing. Captain is very friendly, he knows where we can find whales. Boat is good, no diesel fumes and spacious. There is enough place in boat to accommodate 6 people either in boat or on dock. We spotted seals, sea dog, whales.... More

What a glorious trip. I have lived in the Seattle area for almost 30 years and this was my first time whale watching. Captain Carli took us on a 40 minute ride to the whales. We spent about an hour and a half watching. We saw multiple breachings and whales of all sizes. Captain Carli was very careful to keep... More

Captain Bill Carli's boat is comfy and compact for intimate orca watching. The boat has a head, comfy seats, and was speedy enough to get to where we needed to go. In our case, when our whale watch tour left at 11:00 a.m., we did not know where the orcas were. Captain Carli was on the radio continuously until a... More
