I did the River City Run tour on November 15th and absolutely loved it. I was a bit hesitant to sign up because I'm a slow runner but besides falling a bit behind on the longer stretches, I kept up. Lance was very informative and his love for the city is obvious. He took pictures of the group along the... More

My husband and I were in town for most of 5 days, and Saturday was our last. We decided to go on one last tour before we left with the River City Run and I am SO glad we did!! We saw several things we had missed during our previous day and Johnna and Lance were great! I was a... More

Had a great time on the run Saturday morning with Lance and Johnna, they were great guides. Great way to see the city before it gets going, even if it was busier than normal for a Saturday morning. I'm only at the halfway point of C25k training, and found the pace to be more than comfortable, even on the couple... More

Friendly & fun. A great way to start the day before the streets get crowded. Got some great tips on want to see and do the rest of the day and where to eat.

I had an extra day in San Antonio for a business trip and was looking for a good outside running route. River City Run came up in the search results, and I'm so glad it did! It was 7:00 AM and the tour started in an hour, but they accommodated me no problem. I'd never run in a group before,... More

We took the tour with Tommy and it was excellent. The running pace was right on par for the mix of runners with good resting spots along the way. His commentary about the city was witty and very informative. Highly recommend for you exercise and history buffs.

If you can get yourself to the Alamo at 8am and jog 3.75 miles (with over 15 stops and longest stretch was about half a mile), you need to do this tour! The guides who ran this tour were phenomenal! They are informative, articulate and entertaining (one of the guides is a prosecutor for the city as his full time... More

A family member and avid runner suggested this tour to my husband and I on our last trip to San Antonio. Being that I am a new runner I was a little intimidated but went for it(I have run only 5Ks for about a year). As expected the pace was quicker than what I'm used to running but the guides... More

This event is a really fun way to see sights in downtown San Antonio and to burn off some of those vacation calories! The guides were very friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable about local history. I will definitely be doing this again the next time I'm in SA (as of this writing, repeat runners can participate for free :-))
