Our original plan was to rent a car and drive up to LBJ ranch, but after reading their brochure, cancelled the rental and booked two all days tours, "The Grand Tour" and "Hill Country Tour". Both EXCELLENT!! Tour guides offered much "drive by knowledge".

I got our reservation a couple of months in advance for the day tour of San Antonio. The day before I called ahead and asked to be picked up at the Days Inn Lackland AFB. The van arrived about 15 minutes early and we had a nice ride around town to pick up other guests. On the way we had... More

The morning started late waiting for others, and finally began with a friendly guide. Then we were just dropped off at the Alamo and told when to return. We were on our own and very disappointed in the historic site (our review of that under the Alamo site).Rounded back up and taken to the Riverwalk. Again, our guide was friendly... More

We booked "The Grand Tour" and it was excellent from start to finish. Trolley bus picked us up from Hotel and took us to airconditioned coach all on time. Bus driver/guide David very good and informative. Buckhorn saloon and museum ticket allowed us re-entry the following day which was good because by the time we had eaten we didnt have... More

Was nice not having to find and pay for a place to park. Our guide Curry did an outstanding job from the time he picked us up to the time he dropped us back off he answered any questions anyone had while we toured the Alamo, Buckhorns , The Missions, And the river walk cruise. For the money it was... More

We booked the all day tour and we're very pleased. Picked up at the RV park and taken down to the Alamo for the first stop. Our tour guide, Ron, was knowledgeable, fun, friendly, and helpful. The weather was bad so no river ride but we went to the Texas Culture museum instead. Great substitution. We only had a weekend... More

We boarded in front of the Alamo. With a only a short time in SA, this was the way to see it. Our guide, Leroy was the best! Money well spent.

Most accommodating and polite tour guide ever encountered. Three of us took this Grand Tour on November 12, 2014, and since I have limited mobility getting on and off the bus was quite a challenge. Curry took care of me (helped) every step of the tour, even pushed me around in a wheelchair at the larger Mission on the tour... More

We had a knowledgeable guide that introduced us to several of the main attraction. If you get the "hop pass" you can get on and off to see your items of interest.

We thought we wanted to see it all during our fist trip to San Antonio and booked 2 different tours. our first was the full day of the city. You must be a real history buff for this tour as you were allowed way too much time at each place. Lunch at Buckhorn Saloon was ugh and we went elsewhere.... More

Edward T, Owner at Alamo Sightseeing Tours, responded to this review

thank you for the review not sure why only rated us with two out of 5 when your comments were: Tour guide and driver were great. Our guide was very knowledgeable and educated us about the history of the town for hours. it was my fault for not knowing logistics or asking plenty of questions before booking. Lesson learned More
