Its a tough course. Lot's of blind fairway shots to the green. Well maintained fairways and greens. A little pricey, but worth the challenge.

The Palmer course is about 5 miles away from the resort but the effort to play here is well worth it. The greens are lightning fast and many slope from side to side so playing with a member or reading the yardage book will be a big help. This is not a course for beginners or young kids unless they... We played this course today and it was in great shape for early January. This course will challenge any golfer and punishes errant tee shots (and even some accurate shots with tough lies), but the scenery of this course is really nice, especially for Texas. 18 is an incredible finishing hole, and no matter your score at the end of... We were lucky to play this remarkable golf course under ideal weather conditions and the result was an unforgettable round of golf. Our group was all seniors so we played the appropriate tees otherwise it would be a very long day of golf. The course is without question the most scenic and challenging course in San Antonio. We have played... More

Course is very difficult and hard to read. Heard from others that have played numerous times that it is never been a player friendly course. Many other courses to choose from that are not as difficult to play. If your up for more than your average challenging course then try this one. But if you don't want to feel like... More

After hearing nothing but great things about the Palmer Course we finally decided to take a visit after traveling to San Antonio for a family gathering. First off, unlike other "elite" level courses we were able to find and book a great deal online. The service from the entire staff was amazing upon arrival and all the way until we... More

An all around great day. This course is beautiful and affordable. There are a lot of blind shots and thick rough that can cause problems if you are not familiar with the course but not unfair. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular and the 18th hole is an incredible challenge and even more incredible few... More

There was some bad weather that had passed through the following up to our weekend. On the morning we were going to play it was a bit overcast and some morning fog. The course was in great shape and had drained really well. The entire staff was fantastic and made us feel welcomed. The course was set up very nice,... More

The weather was bad - lots of rain in the area. It had been raining for days. I had a disappointing experience on another course in the area and was hoping for a good golf day. The rain must have scared off most people because there was only one other golfer there when I got there. The service was great.... More
