Loved everything about it. We stayed on base and it was really nice. It's a small town within itself. Many places to eat on base.

A piece of history in America. This is where all the Air Force enlisted members begin their careers in service to America. In the past it was also the location of the Air Force Officer Training School (OTS).

I was at Lackland for 8 1/2 weeks from March to May 2013, and swore to myself I would never come back. Now after some thought, coming back might not be such a bad idea, because Lackland AFB is one of the greatest bases in the AF. The main base at Lackland is comprised of your BMT squadrons and such... First of all, before you get all upset like the person that wrote a review because he thought he could just waltz onto a United States Air Force base, let's set everyone straight. The only folks that are allowed on base are active duty or retired military, their dependents, employees, and accompanied guests with the proper credentials. We went down... More

April 30 thru May 5 graduation events for our grandson. As other family members are retired military we were able to shop at the stores. In attending the events for your graduate it is very hard to see all the allowed places on the base. There are displays of old aircraft, memorials, and museum. We did our best to balance... More

Static displays of all types of aircraft from different eras. There is a Vietnam display of aircraft and World War II/Korean War aircraft. There is a museum displaying the history of airmen. Fun to take your recent graduate son/daughter as my wife and I did.
