So much to take in! We were lucky to stumble upon tickets to see The Lion King here. The attention to detail in the architecture and design of this lovely venue simply added to the ambience of the live performance. You are allowed to take photos inside the theatre (not during performance, of course)...something that's not allowed in all theaters.... More

We recently saw The Lion King at the Majestic Theater and I was highly impressed with the historical detail that still exists in the design. I wish there hadn't been shows scheduled during the day while we were there because I was hoping to go back just to look at the architecture in more detail when there wasn't a crowd.... More

This place looks magnificent with the architecture and the designs. And watching the Lion king show in this theatre was just so perfect. Just plan your time ahead if you are going for a concert or show here. This was our first time and there was a huge traffic near the theatre. The parking was on the next road behind... More

This amazing theater continues to shine! We have seen both Evita and The Lion King there. Being at the Majestic is like walking back in time when these types of theaters were all over the country. Sadly, most of them have closed or been flattened. Thank goodness that the Majestic continues to thrive! We have been seated in the orchestra... More

This theater is a gem from the days of movie palaces. WONDERFUL, FANCIFUL ! The interior has a moorish/spanish feel with a theatrical interpretation of a city/town scape, complete with peacocks and flying doves and a twinkling starlit ceiling.

The theater is so over the top beautiful its hard to describe other than just Texan art deco to the max. Lion King was just excellent, and backdrop of the Majestic enhanced the performance.

This theater is amazing! It's not very big but that doesn't matter. Once you get inside you will be blown away by what you see. It is incredible! I saw a concert here and it was a blast! You should certainly stop by and check this place out.

The Majestic theater is exactly that, Majestic. It captures the beauty and history of days gone bye and yet is a fantastic venue for shows of all types. Words cannot adequately describe how spectacular this downtown San Antonio gem is. If you have a chance to see a show here, whether a concert or ballet or whatever, it will be... More
