finally gave it a shot, its basally a neighborhood with, crap roads. fenced in yards and over grown yards. the so called restaurants are nothing but glorified over priced food trucks. Also i would highly suggest you not visit the area at night. I felt very unsafe walking around at night. I was happy i didn't bring my car (no... More

Found this Bar on perida that had an awesome dj. Great mixed drinks and wonderful beer selection. Great outdoor patio too for us smokers! Just had bar sign on the outside but was across from Chinese place

Fun. Art. Restaurants. Old houses that have been refurbished. Nice place to go on a Saturday. Wear your sneakers!

Adjacent to the King William area, Southtown offers a variety of food options. Many are only open for dinner so plan ahead if you are looking for a place for breakfast or lunch. I noticed a couple of tourists getting dropped off by cabs on S. Alamo street and kind of turn in a circle trying to figure out what... More

It's trying to be cool. Went to First Friday for the first time. Will probably go back when it's not quite so hot. Need some live bands outdoors to bump up the cool factor. Keep trying. I have high hopes for the area as more find this semi-precious gem.

Good restaurants, and some interesting shops and museums in Southtown. The main feature is the l ovely historic homes. Don't miss a visit to the San Antonio Art League and Museum. Something interesting is always happening there. It is across from the gazebo in the small park.

Check out Rosario's restaurant, the pork tips in red chile sauce are to die for. Ask for the Carne de porque en chile cascabel. Spicy but not hot.

Located just south of Hemisfair park is one of San Antonio's oldest neighborhoods. In Southtown you can find many old sights like the original Pig Stand on St. Mary's, the Guenther house next to the Pioneer Mills, or an old German society bier garten where John the proprietor greets new friends nightly. The new is there, too. From the Blue... More
