We brought 7 of our kids and 2 grand kids. They automatically looked at us weird. Then they asked how many tickets we paid for. All 11 of course. They acted like we were stealing . Then someone followed us. They said that we had to sit together. My oldest was mad cause he is 17. They said you had... More

This is the first time I have been to a movie theater like this, and I loved the experience! The ticket price was the same at the usual theater I go to. Our family of five sat at one long table in the theater. The table has food/drink menu along with pens and paper to place orders. We made it... More

No more crowded theaters, no more trying to look around people's heads, no more waiting in the line at concession stand. The Alamo Drafthouse at Stone Oak is comfortable and convenient. Watch a movie while being served by very attentive staff.

They need ushers in there to better manage their seating. We got there right when the movie started and there were people peppered all over the place to the point where the only 2 seats that were together were in the very front row. Yet, there were singles all over the place. The service was good; the beer and wine... More

I wanted to watch Sin City 2 and this was the only theatre that had it at the moment. Entrance was $10, which seemed a little pricey (there are days and hours that are less expensive). The room looked kinda old-fashioned, with lots of space between the screen and the seats on a horizontal manner, so if you're on the... More

This is the first time my husband and I have been to a place like this, and we are hooked. You not only get to watch a movie in a clean uncluttered environment, you get to eat and drink throughout the whole movie. When you first walk in you pick an assinged seat and pay $7 each person! Thats almost... More

This place is amazing. Kansas City apparently has amazing movie theaters. The Alamo draft house is very impressive. We parked at Concentinos for free. When you arrive, you get to pick your exact seat. Also, they have a strict texting and talking policy. The best part is the food. The waiters quietly attend to you while the movie is playing.... Definetly the future of movie going. Food, soda, and alcohol. Can't beat it. Very comfortable seating and nice venue. Hopefully something similar pops up in my neck of the woods someday!

I love Alamo Drafthouse, I seldom go anywhere else to see a movie! It's wonderful to have a dinner-and-a-movie date in one place and the food offerings are restaurant quality. Add the availability of adult beverages and an age restriction that prevents people from using the movies as a babysitter and you've got a good time at the movies.

Theater serves good food and good beer, and does not allow small children (regardless of parents being there) into some R-rated movies. I love being able to go, have a beer, a hot pretzel and watch my movie and not hear a screaming kid. There is nice space between the seats, easy ordering system though at times they are a... More
