Was planning this trip for months with very high hopes from all the great things I have heard about this golf course. After today I am very disappointed. Course is poorly maintained, dead grass everywhere, dry and brown. Surprising with all the rain San Antonio has had in past weeks........ Fairways are mowed too short and "greens" were cut so... We have been playing here since they built this course almost twenty years ago. When this tract was finished it was the only upscale golf in San Antonio except for the private venues. USAA owns this property and Troon golf manages the course. The PGA was induced to move the Texas Open here from the classic Tillinghast course at Oak... More

I had the opportunity to play the Resort Course and really enjoyed it. All the staff was as nice as they could be. The course was in fine condition with the greens rolling really fast. If you have the chance, don't pass it up. A delightful experience.

Just finished playing the Resort Course at La Cantera and the eight of us who played agreed it was one of the best days of golf we've ever experienced. As a group we have been playing top courses throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas for over thirty years so we've had some great experiences. Here are some of the reasons... More

My wife and I played the Resort Course at La Cantera many times over the past number of years and have always been impressed by the beauty and maintenance of the course. Just played the course for the first time in a while and the conditions were very disappointing. I know that the PGA moved its San Antonio event to... More

This was my first time playing golf in Texas and I got a recommendation to plat the Resort course and was not disappointed. All thought it was March and they don’t over seed the fairways were in great shape and the greens were rolled and were fast and true. I will be back!

This was my first time to play the Resort Course at La Cantera, but I've been there several times. I've walked the course while watching the pros play in the Texas Open before it moved across town. The layout of the course is one of the most challenging I've played in my 53 year golfing history. However, the course condition... More

Beautiful amineties...wonderful spa. Very personable staff, yet professional. My husband loved playing the golf course while I had a fabulous facial. Especially like that they have two pools- one for adults only.
