There are two things just about every child in San Antonio has done — visited Brackenridge Park and taken a ride on the Brackenridge Eagle Miniature Train. It'll take you on a scenic tour of the park, so you can rest your feet and enjoy the ride. It is also one of the longest miniature train rides in the world, covering 3.2 miles of track and taking guests to many stops around the park such as the zoo, sunken gardens, and the Witte Museum.

I have loved this since I was a little girl. Engineers are awesome, beautiful scenery, fun for kids of all ages. Longer than any other mini train I have ever ridden, love hearing that clickety clack of the rails.

This park was my favorite place to go as a kid! Now it was my turn to share it with our daughter, she loved it as much as I do! The zoo is still as awesome.

We took the train with our 6 & 8 year old boys, as our whole family loves train rides! The scenery in Brackenridge Park is really lovely, and it's nice to get on and off the train at its stops. We visited the Japanese Tea Garden and took a good hike before getting back on board for our return trip.... More

Right by the San Antonio Zoo, this train, not a tiny one but not a huge full-scale train, is a perfect size for children. The adults can ride too and the price is perfectly reasonable. Be sure to stop for a pic by the train before or after your ride. The conductor is fine with this!

The train is a nice ride, especially for younger kids. It takes you around Brackenridge Park and is very comfortable.

My boys are 19 and 23 but we still have to ride the train when we visit the zoo. It is a 20 minute train ride through the heavily wooded park crossing the San Antonio river twice. There are stops at the Wittier Museum and Kiddie Land. You are allowed to rebound the train and continue your ride after visiting... More

Lots of simple history of South Texas area, artwork of early artists, and insight to regional industries.
