Haven in the middle of town

In all of the years I've been going to Brackenridge Park, it hasn't changed very much. The park is well-kept by the city and it's a lovely place to go.

If you want to take a nice walk, have a picnic, go to the playground--this is the place. I found it so peaceful and relaxing. A great place do to some birdwatching and just enjoying the day.

We visited Brackenridge Park and the San Antonio Zoo on a perfect day in January. The park is very well maintained and our children love the park train. The Zoo is one of the best in the country and we would rate similarly to the San Diego Zoo. It's a zoo worth visiting over and over again. Our children can't... More

We love this park and have visited a few times. After a heavy rain it's fun just to see the huge rush of water. It's better though when it's not flooded(: nice walk and playground. Great free family outing!

This is an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful place to visit and relax in a park with meadows, picnic areas, and a meandering river. If you are a tourist and are worn out by all the other attractions the city has to offer, take the time to slow down in an area of Texas beauty.

We went as a family. We really enjoyed the train ride through the park. It is wonderful!! The grounds are very clean and the parking lot is large enough. Very good over all park. It's very close to the Japanese Tea park. There are snacks, food, with seating, and a gift store.

My wife and I were here for the Rock and Roll Marathon. We decided to go "beyond" downtown. We took the little train around the park, then toured the Japanese Sunken gardens (a former quarry). We had lunch at the tea house there. Excellent tea and cozy atmosphere. We will tour the zoo when we have the granddaughters. The next... More

I do some of my photo shoots here at Brackenridge Park, on top of having family picnic's here. Sunny days or cloudy days, this clean park is a great place to be.
