We flew from Seattle to see the lights and lumanires that were to be up Friday night around 7:00 pm the lumanires never did show up. What a disappointment. I guess you can't believe their web site.

The San Antonio Riverwalk greatly exceeded our expectations. Miles of river, lined with mature trees, exotic gardens, waterfalls, restaurants, shops, parks, hotels. Some of it is more populated with merchants than others. The residential sections were pleasant too. Heck, you can walk along it, take a boat ride from multiple points, hop on a water taxi spontaneously. I walked almost... More

The atmosphere down here is very nice. There are some trendy places along the Riverwalk as well. You can see many young couples taking romantic strolls as well as business people having fun. There are plenty of boats for a ride down the river. E

We visited San Antonio the week before Christmas. Our first visit! The Riverwalk was absolutely beautiful with the lights, music and wonderful places to eat. Still can't figure out how they get the lights so high up in the trees...absolutely beautiful!

We first encountered the river walk at night. We were expecting an artificial environment but immediately we were impressed with its beauty, its scope and its historical nature. This is a world class site. We walked it and dined by it. although there are some medico ire restaurants there are also outstanding dining options The next day we hiked on... More

Very international crowd, beautiful lights, mild weather made this great. Packed sections where parents with kids in stollers tried to negotiate steps was the only down-side...

While touristy, it is still nice for a stroll when less crowded, or dodging others when busier. Many options to stop and relax along the route, bars and restaurants. At least one stage with music the evening we were there. Boat trips along the river. Heard that it was created on a train bed?

This is one of the best attractions of any American City. It's really something to see. We were there in Dec and it was decorated for Christmas with all of the lights. Really a sight to see. Take a river cruise and get a very informative 30 minute tour.

So beautiful to see at Christmas! Colored lights hanging from the incredible cypress trees, luminarias lining the bank of the river at night, sitting beside the river having a wonderful meal at any of the numerous riverside restaurants - what could be better! Don't know if it's this beautiful year-round and I know we were blessed with unseasonably warm (mid... More

Awesome. Everyone should see at least once. Be sure to take one of the boat tours. It is beautiful during the Christnas season with all the lights hanging from the trees
