Love the SA River Walk--any time of the year, the River Walk is always pretty, (best is between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the best lighting!) calming and fun. Great restaurants and links to the mall. Hotels are wonderful but our favorite is the Omni La Mansion. Nothing makes one feel like vacation more than an overnight on the River Walk!

It was a bit of a letdown. There's not much to do there but eat and drink. There's a mall and shops, but nothing spectacular. The Alamo is within walking distance and was worth visiting. We ate at Rio, Rio and our bill was high and the food lousy. The walkways are narrow so it's way too crowded on the... More

Beautiful and fun place below street level. Must experience here. Lot's of restaurants and clubs. Pretty safe and populated area. Nice river cruises explain the history. Check out Sea World and Fiesta texas too.

My husband was working in the area for a long period of time, so I flew in to spend a weekend with him. We hung out on the River Walk for an entire day! It is beautiful! Even if you are just people watching, it is excellent! We ate. We drank and we were certainly feeling very merry!

There are more restaurants, bars and entertainment venues along the San Antonio river than Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna could have ever imagined when he won the Battle of the Alamo in 1836.

Good place to unwind after a day out exploring. Older people with bad knee's & hips wont appreciate the stairs, but overall a very nice place to eat & shop. Not as clean as one would expect.

I always enjoy the river walk in San Antonio. It is beautiful and full of the city's history. It is also a place where you find all types of delicious food. Take a table on the river bank, order a glass of wine, and then just relax and watch the boats coming back and forth in the canal... you will... More

A comfortable place to visit and relax. So many restaurants and shops. The new extension goes all the way to the San Antonio Museum of Art and the renovated area around the old Pearl Brewery. We used a 24 hour river taxi ticket. We were able to scope out areas we wanted to visit. The taxi stopped often so we... More

Sorry but we have been here several times. Our first visit was Dec. 2000 and it was lovely and not crowded. Since then have been there 4 times. The boat ride is overpacked so is hard to enjoy. The walkways are narrow (we had a stroller) so difficult to navigate especially when crowded (even on a summer weekday). Worst though... More

Enjoyable boat ride on the river. Enjoyable history facts of the River walk and easy way to see attractions along the river
