My husband and I love the RiverWalk. It is so beautiful and romantic. We live in San Antonio and we were married at the Inn On The RiverWalk.
Absolutely beautiful, the people were so charming and the food O MY GOSH... indescribable. The Christmas Lights on the River and businesses made it a very festive atmosphere. Alot of great places to eat along the Riverwalk. The boat tours a must to see the Riverwalk and know the shortcuts to get to well known sight seeing landmarks e.g. the... More
Stayed at a hotel on the River Walk which made walking out or hotel's back door and straight onto the River Walk extremely convenient. The trees and vines are so beautiful. We stayed in early December so there were lots of Christmas lights and decorations all along the River Walk and at almost all of the restaurants and bars. Would... More
Al we heard was how fab this place was- we were a bit disappointed. It's super touristy and we often said we are bored. All there is to do is eat. Literally. There is a mall close, wasn't impressed, but the actual walk lacks shopping or other activities. We saw the Christmas lights which were beautiful and the holiday parade... More
Besides it is december, the weather that weekend was fabulous we just walk and walk and walk for nearly three hours amazed for all the colorful places highly recomended plus kids friendly... Family friendly!!!
Great mix of shopping and dining. The Riverwalk is below street level so there is no traffic. It is beautiful at Christmas time. Not very handicapped accessible and that's a shame that everyone cannot enjoy the Riverwalk easily.
Try to go after black Friday. The riverwalk is draped in Christmas lights, the tour boats have Christmas lights and the trees are highlighted in red and green lights. It is just beautiful and there are lots of shops and restaurants to visit. The Riverwalk goes on for miles and is a great place to walk.
Just stayed on the Riverwalk for three nights. It was early December and the weather was warmer than usual. It was about 82 degrees and sunny. Perfect for walking along the Riverwalk. Lots of nice restaurants and bars to choose from. Tables along the river and on patios make it fun to eat or have a drink and people watch.... More
The Riverwalk is a key attraction in San Antonio. This was my second visit. Many good restaurants and bars to choose from along the walk. Recommend taking the riverboat tour - inexpensive and only about an hour long. Plan to spend a full day here - or longer if you have the time.
