What a unique engineering marvel that was transformed into a great attraction. Where else are all the things you want to visit tied together with a beautiful walkway on the water? Is it touristy? Yes, but aren't we all tourist? This is what we came to see and we were not disappointed. See it during the day and at night,... more

The riverwalk is a unique, quaint, and beautiful area of san antonio. I thought it would be much more commercialized than it was. There are many restaurant options, but very few stores. We loved taking the water taxi up and down the riverwalk and the river tour boat was amazing. The plants, trees, stone walkways, little water falls make the... more

Anyone who visits San Antonio has to visit the Riverwalk. You can walk along the river and either enjoy lunch and drinks or shop. You can also take a tour on a boat for around $8 and get an interesting historical background on the various buildings, statues, and plant life. The Riverwalk is the heart of San Antonio. more

The alamo and all the shopping and the riverwalk was great. But the beggars were overwhelming and quite disturbing. Why are there so many homeless or destitute in such a great city? more

A group of us went to the river walk and when we got there a bunch of it was under construction. Every way we went you ran into nothing but construction and had to find your way out back above on the street. The boats were not running and it was just hard to walk around down there. more

I don't understand why I never saw any flies any where, food every where and no flies! Whats up with that? Had a great time, Labor Day weekend really crowded but to be expected. more

I am sorry; the River Walk is way too over rated. You can eat and drink along the hemmed in banks of the San Antonio River while boatloads of tourist float past. Makes you want to grab hands and sing, “It’s a Small World After all.” more

Everyone told me that I *must* see the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Honestly, it was a beautiful place, but not something that I would adjust my plans over. It was basically a lot of restaurants, bars, and a few shops along the river. If you are looking for a place to dine in town, I would look here. If you... more

I was looking forward to experiencing the Riverwalk, and I wasn't disappointed! I was impressed by the beauty and tranquility of it. My husband and I didn't have our kids, so we leisurely walked along the river. It was so romantic! There are several restaurants along the way. At one end of the river is the Riverside Mall, and there... more
