We have visited San Antonio many times over the years and always take the time to walk along the river and enjoy a meal at one of the outdoor restaurants. Even in the heat of the hot Texas summer, you can find shade and a breeze on the river, as well as strolling Mariachi musicians. Just be aware that it... More

We stay in Hotel which was on river walk, we walk on river walk, water is very smelly, dirty and too many mosquitoes - those mosquitoes will bits you. shops around the river walk are overly priced restaurants and souvenirs shops. Example they will charge you $20.00 for a burger and $6-8 for a bottle beer. Boat ride is interesting... More

If you can get past the fact that everything on the Riverwalk is twice the price of anywhere else in town, it's a great place to hang out and people watch. The city needs to do something about the pools of trash that end up in various places along the river, though.

I'd hate to sum up an entire city by one attraction, but the San Antonio's Riverwalk is alone a reason to visit this great Texas city. It's beautiful, swank, hip, rugged, classy, all rolled into one. In addition to the breathtaking views, it's clean, safe, and there's a magnificent boat ride, sort of like a water taxi. There's shops, great... More

This river is an integral part of the city and I loved the impact from the windows of the shopping complex.I felt the atmosphere is lost with the boat tours coming past so frequently but it is a must do activity to see the historic buildings looming above the riverwalk

delightful 20 minute river taxi ride through the lock system to Pearl Brewery. Although we had a 24 hour river taxi pass from the previous evening we did not find a taxi during our morning outing.

The River Walk is a beautiful walk. My wife and I enjoyed taking some time out before having dinner at one of it's many restaurants.
