The River Walk was really a neat experience for my family. However, my wife and I would like to come back without our children. There really wasn't much for them to do along the way other than the Rainforest Cafe (overpriced) and the boat tour. I think they liked the boat tour for the simple fact that they were riding... more

We were fortunate enough to hit San Antonio on the hottest day of the year so far. My wife was on medication and faded pretty fast. We did walk from Marriott to The Alamo and then on to Hard Rock Cafe. Good food there, but like everything at Riverwalk pricey. Hard Rock was the only place we visited on River... more

The City of San Antonio has done a wonderful job of creating a walkway stretching for a few miles along the San Antonio river. It's actually located below street level and is noticeably cooler. Numerous shops and restaurants line the walkway, along with trees and stone bridges. The restaurants are very expensive, so unless you have a very strong desire... more

It was hot up on street level but down on the Riverwalk it was cool and breezy! All the shops and eats were great! It was so romantic. So many historical things to see and trendy places to hang out! more

We just returned from a wonderful weekend in San Antonio, the Riverwalk is the GEM of San Antonio. This was my 4th visit to the Riverwalk and had the most fun of all my visits. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency right on the Riverwalk, great hotel and location. The boat tour is a must do on your visit. It... more

In April, we drove from Southern Indiana for a week in San Antonio, stayed at the Holiday Inn on the Riverwalk (St. Mary Street). The Riverwalk was unique and we had a good time every night. It was pretty warm, we only had light rain on the last day. We took the River taxi tour one day, go in the... more

We lucked out and stayed at hotel over looking the River Walk. This amazing water way has so much to offer. We took the boat tour twice, once during the day for great photos and once at night for the lights. The tour is $7.75, lasts about 45 minutes or more and is a bargain with the boat guide pointing... more

,You must experience the River Walk at least once in your lifetime. My husband, 5 kids (ages 9 to 17) , and their grandmother loved it! You must eat at one of the restaurants and sit right on the river. The boat tours are very fun. The atmosphere is unique, fun, and romantic. more
