This is one of the nicest place I've been while my roadtrip around the USA. I would definitely recommend it.

I simply loved every aspect of the River Walk. There are so many different things I enjoyed about the River Walk that im going to sum it all up by saying that the River Walk will most certainly be the main reason I return to San Antonio!

The best place to spend some time and for sure to eat. You will find a very friendly environment with amazing diversity of restaurants and also a colorful view. If you like, you can also enjoy a small boat tour along the river, with guides to explain the place history.

Just like every Tourist place it is over crowded and when it is humid there is a smell in the air. There is plenty of restaurants but read reviews of places some are better than others.

Everything is great about the walk. If you do not like 'homeless' people bothering you, stay on the walk...forget the upper street level.

Went on an evening Riverboat cruise and really enjoyed it. As we went down the river, you could feel the festive atmosphere from the neighboring restaurants. Would definitely return.

Be sure to check the day passes on the river taxis, very reasonable and a great way to travel. I could have stayed on the Riverwalk all day and all night. We were told it is really something to see all lit up for Christmas. It is so pretty anyway, it would have to be outstanding during the holidays. Shopping,... More

I traveled to San Antonio for business but had some night and mornings to explore. The River Walk is so much fun and I felt safe strolling along the touristy area. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Maybe not the greatest place to get something authentic from Texas but great place to get all those fun cowboy hats and Texas souvenirs.... More

I always stay on the Riverwalk when in San Antonio! The shops, restaurants, entertainment are all within walking distance from your hotel, no matter which end you're located. The hotel restaurants are a bit more expensive and usually require reservations, but there are many restaurants one can just walk up to and get a table right away. So much fun... More
