The River walk is right across the street from The Alamo. We went on the River Boat Cruise and it gives you a lot of the history of the area, as well as a scenic view of the restaurants and shops. We had early dinner at Boudro`s.

The river walk is a must see if you are visiting San Antonio. The landscape is very beautiful. There is great shopping, restaurants, and night life. If you can do the river tour take the time. It is very informative. There are some areas of the river walk that are quieter than others in case you want some time away... More

Beautiful, clean. Every type of restaurant/bar/pub you could want. It's awesome. After busy sightseeing days we loved going to for a few drinks and either an appetizer or dinner just to sit and relax at one of the restaurants with outdoor seating along the river walk.

I have been to the River Walk several times, and it's really cool to walk up and down both sides and take everything in. It's really a gorgeous place with the ducks swimming to the landscaping. It's family friendly and can also be romantic. Tons of restaurants and shops. I personally like to hang out at a restaurant and people... More

The River Walk is great and right across the street from The Alamo. We went on the River Boat Cruise and it gives you a lot of the history of the area, as well as a scenic view of the restaurants and shops. A must do to get the lay of the land and where you want to go. Also,... More

A highlight of our trip. Just stunning. Quiet in the morning, busy in the evening. Many restaurants to choose. The river cruise was entertaining and informative. We stayed at the Hilton Palico del rio and it was perfectly located. Go relax and enjoy.

It's only for couple to enjoy the beautiful sight . Not for family with kids . The boat drive is expensive and boring. One can get variety of restaurants and shopping experience. Our experience was not good as we choose daylight. Hopefully its better in night . Best place is to park you car near america's tower with 8$ .

Love the wide array of restaurants, stores, and people to watch. The fountains and waterfalls are beautiful and relaxing and we loved seeing all the ducks.

Great place to get away from the day to day hustle. Plenty of eateries and shops, live music, as well as areas to stroll and take in the scenic landscaping. A good cool off place during the summer as temperatures are always 5 - 10 degrees cooler than street level. Even better at night.
