February 6th was so lovely. Our Family included ages 17 months to seventy! We got to stroll along the river with ducks swimming in the river or sunning on the banks. We began our stroll at The Pearl and turned around at the Locks. Their is art all along the path. The path is shared with joggers, bicycles and pedestrians.... More

I've always loved going down to the river but I realized just how small the sidewalk is when we took two small kiddos. With the water on the edge (despite it being 3ft deep), one stumbling child can go right in. On busy nights people look at you like you're an idiot when you say "excuse me" to get by.... More

My two adult daughters and I met here for the weekend for a getaway. We walked the river walk at night. It was beautiful and we felt very very safe at night. The next two days we spend wandering the city but came back time and time again to the river walk.

I've been to the Riverwalk many times in the past couple of decades. Generally, it did not change much. Lots of restaurants charging tourist prices, but there are some chains as well. It's a romantic place, and good for hanging out with friends and family. If you have small children, I'd keep them "leashed" with you because the river does... More

Great atmosphere and food. Many places to shop, relax, take a trip on the river for a nominal charge, excellent Mexican food.

We stayed right on the River Walk for several nights. The tourist part of the walk is a small portion of the whole system. For about a quarter of a mile, in the downtown area, there are tons of restaurants, shops, and hotels, making it very convenient. It was very easy to step out of our hotel and walk over... More

I visited many years ago and had a great time strolling along the river and enjoying the shops and restaurants along the way. A boat ride is a must, just for the experience. I would have liked to have stayed at one of the hotels along the waterway but everything was booked due to a basketball game (plan ahead if... More
