Hard to believe that this is IN the city. Lots of trees, benches, and wide walkways. Plenty of places to eat along the way and shops as well. If you really want to walk - it extends for over 15 miles!

I have been hearing about the famous River Walk in San Antonio for years, so I was excited that I was finally going to see what it was like. The first time I attempted to walk the main circular path, I was surprised by the narrowness of the sidewalk and the lack of railing between the sidewalk and the river.... More

It's a great place to visit. It's beautiful and relaxing and it has many fun laces around. We started walking in the wrong direction, so we had to walk again to go back. We saw other people that went throught the same thing, so the thing I would add for the visitors is more signs to get oriented.

Tips for a visit to San Antonio River Walk area: Travel suggestion: San Antonio is a convention city with 200+ conventions every year. And they have many hotels that are more than 15 stories high, which draw huge numbers of conventioneers to the city, usually from Thursday to Sunday afternoon. It is worth your time to check the convention and... More

This is the most pleasant place to walk. It's one level below ground and full of restaurants and plants, many with flowers.

We have made many trips to the Riverwalk and each time I think it's more beautiful that the last. There have been some updates along the river and recent plantings that made it even more beautiful. The San Antonio Riverwalk is an experience not to be missed.

Although the riverwalk is interesting, safety issues related to public drunkenness and panhandlers gets a lot of attention of San Antonio's finest. During my week there, it seemed like a constant problem. Regardless, if you stay in the main traveled areas, you should be fine.

Every time I come here, they have added something more. be prepared to walk and just take in the beauty of nature all around you in the middle of downtown. we saw a baby duck looking for its mother and when we told an officer, he truly seemed concerned. I appreciated that as the rest of my group thought I... More

Check out the Riverwalk! https://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/about/the-san-antonio-river-walk The Riverwalk is a fun destination for tourists, conferences and meetings. Everything walking distance, and a nice destination place while visiting other area attractions in San Antonio. If you cannot find a good place to eat on the Riverwalk, you must not like to eat! Restaurants galore, and all the food looks good. Avoid the... More

Beautiful and a fitness delight. Besides the downtown portion there are miles of path to ride or run. The B-cycle rentals are a wonderful and easy to use system which allows access to most of the extensive network. Downtown shops and restaurants are plentiful and allow any choice of food, but the real gem is to get out and run... More
