Where do you take children for some entertainment and exercise? One sure way to thrill most youngsters and get them moving is with a visit to a children’s museum and San Antonio has one that the kiddos should like. It’s the San Antonio Children’s Museum and it’s located very close to the Riverwalk in downtown, walking distance away from many... More

My son absolutely loved his time at the museum. He could have stayed there all day, but unfortunately we had nap times to contend with! His favorite features were the trolley, airplane, grocery store and imagination playground/building area. However, some things were broken or not open and we did have a hard time finding someone to help us (example, the... More

My son enjoyed playing in the airplane, the grocery story and milking the cow. A lot of the exhibits appeared to be on its last leg and didn't really entertain him. It looks like they need to sink a little money in the place and upgrade it a little. I don't think it was worth the money

The purpose of the museum is very good. Some of the attractions were excellent. Sadly some of them needed basic maintenance, which is crucial when it comes to children`s interest and learning. Our 3 years old grand daughter found interesting activities and avoided everything that was destroid or didn`t function. We spent several hours there.

The place is filthy! I'm not generally a clean freak but this place is disgusting. I can't imagine all the germs on these kids body's! I saw a man cleaning with a swiffer mop, but this place needs a disinfectan! It's a fun place but in major need of a cleanliness upgrade.

I took a 6 & 9 yr old, they had a blast! We were there for about an hour & a half, I think they could've been there all day. The areas are fun enough to keep the kids entertained. The bank was cool, the bulldozer is a must. Oh and the plane area. Oh and the elevator where they... More

We took our soon to be three year old and she had a great time! We look forward to taking her again when we are back in San Antonio.

We went there with two kids, six and ten. They both enjoyed it. There are a lot of things to do, lots of hands on learning as with any kids museum. It is located downtown and so is an easy addition to a trip to the area for all the other sites. A fair amount of focus on local history/tradition... More

My 2 year old daughter had a BLAST! We spent a little over an hour exploring the ball pit, old country store, play bank, HEB kids grocery store, bubble station and more. I love that each station has scientific facts to back up the activity, it allows for the children to gain knowledge on things like art, gravity, air suspension,... More

We have been going to the museum for several years and the past couple of trips have been less than stellar. Filthy interior, exhibits not working, no customer service and the displays are really showing their age. Place could use a good clean-up and renovation. I would not make this a priority on my "must see" list if you are... More
