Sorry to see that this great little museum has closed it's doors. I hope that it's reopened in another location.

I have been to the Salem Toy Museum a few times and have enjoyed it each time. Frank does a wonderful job stocking and maintaing this amazing collection of toys. Always makes me wish that I still had all those Star Wars, Voltron and G.I. Joe figures for my son to enjoy. Frank does a great job explaining a few... More

Unorganized mess of toys. Huge waste of vacation money. Guy working there was in my face the entire time. Weird experience.

I'm sorry you felt your experience was less than desirable. The museum is about childhood memories and fun. It is not in any specific order and It seemed as though you were enjoying the museum while here? If 6 dollars is a huge waste of vacation money I'm very sorry about that. I ask a very small amount compared to... More

The Salem Toy museum had toys and games from all eras, and really can take you back to your childhood. From the minute we walked in, my fiancee and I kept interupting each other with "Oh my god, I had that". For the price, it was a lot of fun, and made you forget about the real world for a... More

They say you should make a career out of what you do when you are procrastinating. I can imagine Frank spent many hours on eBay before this museum came to life. His passion for his toys is evident in his trivia and childhood memories! You will not be disappointed! I was so excited to finally see a Chatty Cathy in... More

In the heart of downtown Salem, surrounded by museums dedicated to pirates, witches, and maritime art, is everybody’s childhood playroom, The Salem Toy Museum. Targeted mostly toward baby-boomers, only because proprietor Frank Sarcia is one, the museum is packed with memories of department store visits to Santa and bygone Christmas mornings. Self-proclaimed president of the I-never-throw-anything-out club, Frank proudly displays... More

This unassuming treasure is worth checking out. It's as if someone took your toys in the attic and put them on display. Frank is a remarkable resource and makes the experience fun and personal. The fee is well worth it and helps to support this glimpse into our pasts. This is a place where you can feel toy joy again.... More

$6 a person for a walkthrough that took only a few minutes. Now the owner was nice, but definitely overpriced for the money. It should have been donation only. Sorry Frank the owner.

Thank you for taking the time to review the museum and I apologize that it did not meet your expectations. I'm really sorry you felt this way. I work very hard to make it a great place to visit and always strive for the best outcomes. I am however baffled that anybody would pay to go into a museum to... More

I have written reviews on this local Salem business several times, as I visit Salem often & each time I do, I make it a point to stop by the Salem Toy Museum to see the numerous updates. This museum is forever changing, with continuous updates to all of the toy displays. The owner, Frank, takes such pride in his... More
