The Salem Willows is a mere shadow of its former self, but kids will probably still find its old-fashioned amusements somewhat fun. All the candy, popcorn, ice cream - and yes chop suey sandwiches (try them at least once) - you can eat. A nice new addition (in the park itself) is the Clam Shack a great take-out seafood restaurant.... More

We stopped here while in Salem recently. The part w/ rides for little kids was very run down, but my four year old daughter still enjoyed the carousel. Also, we got some ice cream and taffy from the place by the beach that was delicious.

I grew up in Salem, and this is still one of my favorite places. The popcorn made the old way is just the same and just as delicious as when I was a kid. The salt water taffy (candy kisses) are awesome. Lowes chop suey sandwiches at $2.01 plus tax is the best bargain around and still delicious. I love... More

We visited the Willows during a stormy day and during a sunny day. It's kind of run down but you can imagine the history of how fun it is if you are a kid. We were here during a stormy day when hardly anyone else was here. Then tried to come back on a beautiful Sunday and it was so... More

My wife and I try to get here once each summer. We like to walk around, play a few arcade games, eat some fun food and sit by the water. Our favorite food is the popcorn. Get a bag of the sweet tricolor popcorn or perhaps a flavored popcorn bar. They also have seafood, pizza, Chinese food and ice cream.... More

I have been going to Salem Willows since I was a kid, and when I grew up and had my own kids we went there many times during each summer. We moved to PA 15 years ago, and recently went back to the Boston area to visit. I was so glad to see that Salem Willows had maintained a family... More

My kids liked the arcade. For $0.25 you can play a horse racing game, pinball style. For $1 we could all play, 1st and 2nd place earns tickets. Cheap fun, at most boardwalks it is a water target game that cost $2-$3 each person. Ticket are redeemed for prizes. We ate pizza next door, I think Cappy's, it was good.

A fun place to visit for a few hours, walking through the park with an ice cream cone on a nice sunny day was a pleasure.

Great little arcades with plenty of food and ice cream available and a fantastic view of the ocean and plenty of green, open spaces for picnics.
