So I can be totally bias, but I have to say, I have so many wonderful memories of the Salem Willows... growing up, it was kids paradise! It had (and still has) everything a kid wants, tons of games, rides (kiddie...ones), food... the ocean, boat rides, and the BEST popcorn on the planet! If you go to the Willows, you have to go to the arcade and play the old-fashioned games. Also, Hobbs' ice cream and popcorn are the best...homemade. In the summer, it is a great place to watch fireworks from the beach. On a nice day, you can walk out on the pier with a chop-suey sandwich. It brings back fond... more
Visited the Willows for the first time in almost 40 years and much was the same. Charming, quaint New England style park, great for kids with nice water views. Chec k out the popcorn bars, they are as good as i remembered! Also have the clams which are tasty too. This is a great spot for a picnic. Nothing high... more
When you visit the Willows, as us locals call it, after you've tried the chop suey sandwiches and the fried clams and the ice cream, you MUST have the salt water taffy or the popcorn.
