We don't camp out like many but that's OK. Depending on when you go it can be nice and peaceful or a smidge noisy and kid filled. Go early and during the week if you can or Spring or Fall and you'll have the place largely to yourself. You can walk around and visit the beach or sit and read.... More

While the view looked pretty amazing, the living quarters looked quite tight. If you're into camping in extremely tight quarters, Salem Willows is for you. You're not too far outta town to walk in and see the sights.

Pulled in 1 1/2 hours early. They let us in and told us to pull to the side till our spot was clear. Not a speck of garbage was to be seen anywhere. Right up the block from Historic Salem, MA. Went to shower @ 6:30am and crew was there cleaning bathrooms. Spots could be about 5 feet wider. Only... More

This is a great place to have a wedding, or any other function. Great sea side views, fishing, and it sits next to old fort of Cival War. Even has beach with rest rooms.

This is a nice quiet place to view the water while in Salem. Didn't spend too much time here, but we enjoyed exploring while we were there.

A fun little campground with quiet beaches. I need to spend some more time here and update the review accordingly, but it seems like it could be a great place for a group to camp. Field for tents, a pergola and hall for gatherings, and some funky old military buildings for intrigue. Maybe not a stop to put at the... More

My daughter and I stayed here mid-October 2013. We had a great first vacation long weekend here. It was easy to get to, easy to get reservations, and the weather held our for us. We didn't expect to do so much exploring at the campsite itself, and instead of only using it for a place to sleep while we traveled,... More

This is a public camp, no doubt about it. It's an excellent location right on the outskirts of downtown Salem. It's an old Coast Guard station that has been brought back to life and made into a park. There are great rocky shores with tidal pools to explore, an old lighthouse, a civil war bunker and a nice sandy beach...... More

We brought our 5th wheel to Winter Island RV park and stayed in Site No. 55. The surrounding grounds are beautiful. Short walk to Waikiki Beach, beautiful harbor view, bathrooms are clean. Site 55 is in the field kind of off by itself. The other RVers were all in a big huddled group and I really enjoyed our 'private' spot.... More

You have to go here if in the SALEM AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! two abandoned bunkers (not allowed in) and another old abandoned building. Watch out for geese. Also nice playground one has innapropriate graffiti on it. However slides are awesome. Great thin trails plenty of tide pools. GO THERE!
