I prefer Cinema Salem to the larger theaters in Danvers and Revere. Cheap, validated parking is available in the attached garage-25 cents per hour-and the selection of movies is pretty good. There are rarely lines at the concession stand, and the popcorn is very good.

This is a review for the seance not the magic show but ...what a joke! I only gave 2 stars because there's was a few moments where you think this might be cool and live up to the advertisement but it does not. It's not scary and besides not being scary it wasn't like a real seance either. Also, we... More

This is a one man show and is very poorly done. Very few laughs and even less magic. It's dry and Boring! May as well just flush your money down one of the out houses right next to the venue. Abolutely the worst show ever!

Definitely worth the 20 bucks. It was not at all what I expected. It was a one man variety show, 75 minutes long. It was set in the format of a story which included history from the Salem witch trials. There was magic, mind reading, hypnosis and comedy. There was a lot of audience participation which made it fun. It... More

The only thing frightening about this attraction was the cost of the ticket. $75.00. Scare factor was nil, zero, zilch. It was way to contrived AND the advertisement said 90 minutes. We were there about an hour but def not more. We were so disappointed because when we walked in and saw the decorated stage, we thought for sure we... More

We buy the popcorn "with real butter" the drinks, the ticket and sit for the show. At the start time the young attendant sticks her hear in and says "it's not in 3D today, we took $2 off the ticket price" shuts the light off and the door. Felt like that should have been the speech at the start of... More

We went to see this 3D film presentation and enjoyed it. It was educational and held your attention while focussing on the real historical facts and not myth and legend. The film was narrated by a young Puritan girl of the time. Not sure if the 3D element, though technically good, actually added anything to the experience. We were the... More

Best popcorn with real butter. Their cafe open on weekends has unique drinks and treats. Relaxing way to see the newest releases.

CinemaSalem is a small movie house, with three full size screens and one small screen . That one is often used for locally made documentaries and other non-Hollywood fare. The big screens typically show first run features that can be found in other theaters, but occasionally they show one-night-only presentations of classic films (and by "classic" I mean Goonies, Monster... Love stopping here to see a movie. Very much a throw back to the theaters I remember growing up. Make fresh popcorn unlike today's big chains and it's decent price.
