Took this tour as a way to orient myself with Salem! LOVED IT! The two gals giving the tour were fun and happy. They told us great historical facts and slowed the trolley for popular picture spots. There were several spots to hop-on-hop-off. They made learning about Salem fun and not at all boring or conventional. Thank you!

Pretty good trolley tour hitting some hilites. Lots of houses and a bit of the harbor area. Can get off and on at various stops. But be aware, the trolley may be full when it comes back by. Plan accordingly.

We arrived in Salem around noon and decided to take the trolley tour first, then walk around. Unfortunately, after we bought our tickets we were told the wait would be at least 45 minutes- longer if enough people didn't disembark. If you left your place in line, you had to start over again. So instead of being able to walk... More

We picked up the trolley at House of the Seven Gables after that tour. The wait was quite short although it wasn't immediately apparent as to where to get on the trolley (by what appeared to be the valet stand as it turned out). I am very sure that the quality of the tour is greatly dependent on the driver... More

The trolley tour is $15 (seniors $14), but gives a one hour historic tour of Salem, also passing through Winter Park and the harbor, and pointing out history and museums you can visit and areas you might want to go back and see, with a lot of information on witch trials and memorials, etc. We always like to take a... We bought our ticket in Boston with the ferry ticket to get to Salem and was astonished to find that the trolley bus brings you into the town centre even if you don't have a ticket so that you can find out what the tour is all about. We got off the trolley at the information centre (great place) and... More

The trolley was the first thing we did. We didn't know exactly where we wanted to go, so we rode the trolley. The tour guide was a very sweet woman who was very informative. It was a great way to see all of Salem, and learn about all the history of Salem, not just the witch trials. The trolley does... More

The tour was informative. Our guide was a woman who has lived in Salem her entire life and although we cannot recall her name, she was wonderful. Our guide spoke to the historical points and landmarks throughout the city and made it colorful and enjoyable. Her knowledge was significant, important and current. She really made it enjoyable. We would recommend... More

We always take a trolly or city tour when we visit a new city. We got our tickets for the next day, as we arrived at the end of the day, and went to the place for the first trolley. It was full and we were told to go to another spot. We finally got on and the tour guide... More

Our trip on the trolley started with the harbour side section. Our guide was ok, if a bit jaundiced at times, and the trolley took us to some interesting areas. We were then meant to transfer to another trolley for the next part of the tour but we simply gave up waiting as the tours seemed disorganised. Our ticket seller... More
