$15 per person, but it gives you all the high points of Salem from a knowledgeable tour guide. Takes about 60 minutes for the whole ride, but take notes of the places you want to return to and explore further. We found 4 or 5 places that we returned to after the Trolley Tour for more in depth exploration.

This is a well run, informative oral history of Salem. They integrate well the events of the past 300 years in the city. It takes 90 minutes to make the loop and the trolleys do not run frequently, nor could they tell us a specific time they would be back at that site - so you are often waiting a... More

We didn't start off on the trolley but heard from some folks in our travels that it was worth the money. The tour itself was very informative and entertaining. They visit spots that I'd would not have found and it would be hard to walk the full route in one day. Highly recommend for a good overview of Salem and... More

Having grown up not too far from Salem, I had driven through the city many times and wasn't very impressed but recently, I had visitors from SC who wanted to see Salem for its famed witch trials. That turned out to be somewhat of a bust so we decided to take a ride on the Salem Trolley Tours and it... More

If you come from Boston on the Ferry, purchase the combo ticket that includes the trolley. Make sure you ride the entire loop before getting off that way you have an overview of everything in the city, then do the hop on/off. This is a great overview to the city of Salem so if you are looking for a easy... More

The trolley is a must in Salem! Not just because you can get shuttled all around, but also because of the wealth of information you receive on the tour! When you get on, stay on for the full tour so you can see and hear it all - then afterwards pick the place you want to off - and then... More

The Salem Trolley provides a good introduction to Salem and saves a lot of walking. I did take issue with some of the interpretation (i.e. "coffin doors" on Chestnut Street houses) and the script seemed a bit tired. But overall a pleasant experience.

This was a good way to see an overview of the city in an hour. Buy tickets outside the visitors center and catch the trolley there. Takes you around to 13 locations. You get some history and humor along the way, and can hop off and on at each stop if you've got the time. Trolley arrives at each spot... More

had a wonderful experience riding the trolley. we highly recommend it . if you have a military id card show it to the ticket agent . the patriotic and generous owners of the trolley have a great way of saying thanks to our veterans .

We are new to Mass and we've never been to Salem before. So, we started out a little lost and unsure where all the good spots are. After about an hour of aimless, and relatively pointless walking, we decided to see what the trolley was all about. BEST DECISION EVER! We learned so much just by riding through the city... More
