This tour was great. It was cold and they gave us hand and feet warmers. The guide and her husband were full of history and helpful with recommendations of things to see and do.

I arranged this tour as part of a fun group event during a business meeting in Salem this past October, and it was fantastic. My co-workers and I all thoroughly enjoyed the blend of history and hauntings, and absolutely adored Susan and her husband, who made the excursion fun and enjoyable despite the wind and rain. Susan is a passionate... More

This tour was great fun and looked at the history of Salem without pandering to the Witchety side of things. We learned loads and Susan was a great narrator, keeping us engaged for the whole 90 minutes. Of course we also learned about the witch trials and the poor innocents who were killed during the mass hysteria of the time.... More

We only had one day in Salem on a holiday from AUS so had to fit a lot into one day, this tour was the perfect way to top it off (our tour was at 5pm so was the last thing we did). Susan was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about every little detail of all things Salem. The tour... More

My husband and I enjoy visiting Salem every fall and wanted to try out a tour this year. I'm not a big fan of haunted houses and scary movies so we were excited that this was a historical tour. After experiencing it, I can say our choice of Hocus Pocus was perfect! The tour was full of rich history brought... More

Need to be aware that despite the name this is a historical tour of Salem and not a ghost tour like most of the rest in town. There are some token offerings to possible hauntings but mostly its historically factual but delivered in a fun energetic way by Susan the guide. She and her husband take you round the sites... More

I went on a Hocus Pocus Tour on October 19th and was very impressed! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell that they were really passionate about the history of Salem. I usually hate visiting Salem in October because of the crowds and all of the gimmicks, but this tour was not like that at all! It... More

To start, my viewpoint may be biased because I've done a lot of great haunted tours all around the country. We even took one in Salem about seven years ago and it blew this one away! For me, a good haunted tour spins tales, builds suspense and allows the imagination to take over. It also leaves you with some lingering... More

Thank you for your review and we apologize that the tour did not meet your expectations. To clarify, our tour is not a ghost/haunted tour and therefore the spinning of tales is not our goal. We offer historically researched accounts that are presented in a narrative fashion. Though you mentioned the narrative seeming scripted, we can assure you that it... More

If you're looking for something to do in Salem that gets you truly out on the town, the Hocus Pocus tour is a great option. I loved it. Not only did tour guide, Susan, provide a historical overview of much of Salem's early years, she presented it in a classy and yet delightful manner. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for... if you are looking for a great walking tour of Salem's haunted history, I would highly recommend this company. My wife and I went on a tour the evening of Friday October 10th, the first thing that struck me was the impeccably dressed tour guide, who in the darkness of the evening looked as if he had walked out of...
