The crew was friendly, witty, and knowledgeable. There was a good balance between time to sit, relax and chat with your companions and time to listen to the history and fun facts about the ship and the area. If you are up for the muscle challenge, you can even help raise the sails and steer the ship...perhaps a bit intimidating...

When in Salem you should do the witch stuff,it's fun, but their is so much more to do and see.Consider taking sail with the famous schooner Fame. The cost is reasonable for a beautiful two hour tour of the Salem harbor. The captain and his crew give you the history of this 1812 replica schooner and they make it interesting...

The ship is in excellent condition and the crew is knowledgeable. They let the kids put up the sails and take a chance steering the ship with the tiller. Seating isn't the most comfortable, no cushions, etc, but historically accurate! Kids drinks, beer, margaritas and packaged snacks for sale. Quick sail with cannon fire as highlight.

My daughter and I took a day trip to Salem and decided we "wanted to go for a boat ride". Fame was the ticket. We had a lovely ride. The captain and crew were professional, courteous and friendly. Truly a good investment of time and money.

Once you've had enough of the Salem witches, head out to the water on the schooner Fame. First off, the boat itself is beautiful. The captain and the crew are wonderful -- not only do they sail it well, they share their information about the boat, the area and sailing. The two hours will fly by!

We enjoyed an afternoon cruise on the Schooner Fame, and it was an amazing experience. In addition the great views, we also had a knowledgeable and informative captain and crew, who were also extremely friendly and approachable. We even had the chance to hoist the sails, which was definitely something that I enjoyed. As stated before, it was an amazing...

We visit Salem each year and we always include the Schooner Fame on our must do list. We like the sunset cruise. After that we have dinner on the wharf. It's relaxing and a lot of fun. Highly recommend it.

The boat is beautiful, the weather was great and the waters calm. Our family of four really enjoyed our evening cruise above Fame. The captain/crew were informative and friendly, but in no way obnoxious. You could ask questions or simply sit and enjoy the view. The history of the boat is interesting and you can steer the ship once it's...
