I spent the day in Salem with my 9 year old daughter. Most of the museums and sights were wonderful. Having been to several wax museums in my life, I was truly looking forward to this museum. I cannot explain how ripped off I feel. This was a one room exhibit with around a dozen wax statues, one of which... more

This was the biggest waste of time. I throughly love museums and if you're expecting it to be like Madam Tussuad's....then you are far beyond reasonable thought. We waited in line to go into a single gallery that housed about 10 wax depictions of the witch trials each accompanied with a paragraph. We thought that there would be more rooms... more

There is not much to this museum. It includes several scenes of wax figures and a paragraph about each. There are some more interactive things downstairs that children might like such as grave rubbings, knot tying and a prison you can sit in but these are available through the gift store without paying admission. more

I bought the combo with the witch village across the street. This is one room with poorly kept wax exhibits, and it is self "guided" not too much to guide youeself around one room. Ths gift shop is triple the size, and to be honest the gift shop wasn;t that good either. Most of the attractions in Salem are hokey,... more

Save you're money. This was terrible. The wax statues were in bad shape, and the museum is very small - the gift shop takes up more space. It's in a great location, so it seems like a logical choice, but don't be fooled. more

My wife and I enjoyed the museum very much. The scenes were realistic and well taken care of. The museum contained not only information and scenes from the witch trials, but also scenes depicting Salem's history overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, I would recommend this as a stop on your journey through Salem MA! more

My husband and I were optomistic about this museum. We were so dissappionted. The museum was a bit dank and the fact that it was self guided didn't help it's appeal. The tour was 6 or 7 dollars each, which was twice what it was worth...we were so glad we didn't buy the combo tickets for the witch village too! more

Totally unscrupulous! Never got a refund a group trip that was booked and cancelled according to their refund policy. A year later, they haven't returned any correspondence - letters, email and phone calls go ignored. Spend your money elsewhere! more

I toured the "museum" in late October, so I expected to have fun and see the advertised "important historic exhibit" that the brouchure indicated, but I was sorely disappointed. The museum is dusty, smelly, lame, and wasnt worth the price of admission. I also have a HUGE problem with this museum's lack of honesty. I went to the "Information Booth"... more

This is by far the WORST museum in Salem. It is a tiny room with a display of maybe 10 bunches of waxwork displays....the displays are uninteresting and it is self-guided so there is no atmosphere... The only redeeming fixture was that the final waxwork looked like Lindsay Lohan which was a bonus! I know that you can buy a... more
