If you buy the combination discount museum ticket, this is worth a stop. The staff is very nice and eager to answer any questions. There's a reenactment before the tour, which is nice in theory but amateur in execution. However, if you're only planning to make one or two stops in Salem, skip this.

Want to hear and relive how the Salem Witches were tried and jailed? This is the place to come! You start off with a reenactment from a witch trial then get brought down to the witch dungeons. You are given historical tidbits and shown the horros these people went through. COmbine with the Pirate museum & Witch History museum and... More

This is one you can do with your significant other or even a family. It starts out with a live theatrical presentation of a few actors, which was nice to see rather than the usual "recorded" attraction. After the "show", you are brought downstairs to a rebuilt dungeon where the cells are made from the original specs that were used... More

You can visit this attraction as part of a discount pass together with the Pirate Museum and the Witch History Museum. Of all three, this one is by far the best. It starts off with a theatrical show after which you go down below into the dungeons. This is the only museum that shows what the cells would have been... More

This tour starts with a short play (10-15 minutes at the most) and then takes visitors down below the building to replica of the witch dungeon. The tour is self guided, but there are tour guides available to answer questions, and they do describe the conditions prisoners endured in the real dungeon. Additionally, the replica dungeon does contain 1 object... More

We have been to this attraction each time we come to Salem. We especially like the skit put on at the beginning. The actresses are very good and fun to watch. The dungeons is OK. Is it worth the admission? The first time definitely! The second time, mmmm maybe not.

We didn't realise that there was a play included it the price of this attraction. All involved in the short play about the witch trials were very good, but the actor who set the scene who was also or guide to the dungeon was exceptional. I would recommend a visit to anyone interested in Salems history .

Salem's Witch Dungeon Museum is an underrated jewel, and an excellent educational stop, even for people who are familiar with the witch trials. While it's not the actual dungeon, the recreation is very accurate and gives an unmistakeable image of what the conditions were like for those accused. There is a brief show, or reenactment, using transcripts from an actual... More

Good place to learn the basics. They put on a High School style 10 min show, of a witch trial. They then bring you down to a Dungeon Area (haunted House Like) to give you an idea of what it was like. My 2 Cents: It was cute, good for kids.

The show captured the attention of my entire family, including my husband, my kids ages 9, 8, and 5, and myself. The trial reenactment and the dungeon tour provided a great overview of the history of the witch hysteria in Salem. I highly recommend this as a part of any educational trip.
