Other than the zoo, you have to check out the Reid Park Rose Garden! I did not know about this hidden gem the first few years that I lived in Tucson. Now that I do, I visit often! Surprisingly, the roses are in bloom most of the year. I think there are only a few months in the winter when they cut the roses back and close the garden. When the rose garden is in full bloom, it is a feast for the eyes and the nose! Volunteers help to take care of the garden. There are roses of all colors. You may even get lucky and see dragonflies or ladybugs. Reid Park also has a couple of ponds filled with ducks and other birds. Vermilion Flycatchers like to frequent the park. Recently I have seen a Cooper's Hawk that likes to hang out there. There is a dog park. There are playgrounds for the kids. There are picnic areas. The park has a little bit of everything for everyone!

Having worked in the animal care field for a number of years, I was truly heartbroken to see how small the animal enclosures are — especially the tigers. They were pacing back and forth on their tiny strip of dirt for hours, showing clear signs of depression and anxiety. Very, very sad.

Perfect park for a picnic. There are playgrounds for the kids and lots of shade to ensure you don't submit to the ravages of the sun. I great relaxing spot to unwind in the afternoon, weekends, or after a visit to the Zoo

Reid Park Zoo was a wonderful experience! The animals were well cared for and partnered. We saw animals enjoying their habitats, which were amazingly clean. The elephant area is spectacular- and the giraffes were very social. I will return next year, and encourage all to visit this zoo. Kudos to those that work there-your hard work is appreciated!

There is not anything you can't find to do here. Lots of picnics, great gatherings for clubs and service organizations. A good way to raise money for your special organization on many different week-ends.

We stopped in late in the day for some birding. There was a large number of ducks in the ponds as well as a couple of Night Herons. Also saw white-winged doves, cormorants, vermilion flycatchers. Lots of families with small children, so it seems it's a good family spot.

This was a very nice park to visit and especially if you have little ones. The playground is large and has cool playground equipment. The pond is huge and full of turtles. There is also a kiddie train ride you can purchase tickets to. I don't think you have to go into the nearby zoo to purchase tickets to ride. The Reid Rose Garden is absolutely beautiful!! I've never seen or smelled so many gorgeous roses. Amazing!

While not being a huge Zoo, it is a great Zoo. You can see the animals, and get close to the animals. The giraffe, and elephant exhibit are first class. The Zoo was very clean, with few Zoo smells. While our group did not include small children, those with small children where having a good time. The walkways have many shaded areas. Parking is limited and nearly full on the day of our visit.

Enjoyed walking in this park. There was activity everywhere but we still managed to find some migratory birds and ducks that we had hoped to see.

I like to take walks in Reid Park. It's a very peaceful property. But, great for kids. They have swings and and other playground equipment. On a hot day, it's great to sit in the shade of the old trees. They also have a seasonal rose garden.
