Most of the reviews listed here are for the mission and belong under "Mission San Xavier." There are more than 1,200 reviews under that wording and would be quite helpful for those who want more feedback on the mission and what it is like to visit that piece of local history. San Xavier Plaza is a small walled-in shopping area... More

Visiting from Canada. What a wonderful tour this was. Lot of history here. Many of our tour group purchased Popovers from a native lady. Delicious.

Worth driving to see the mission in its original condition, a working persons church, a few vendors selling food and native arts and crafts, no pressure to buy, friendly, just trying to make a living.

Absolutely astounding! Beautiful with the most beautiful architecture. One must see this pristine white Mission against the blue sky and desert landscape to appreciate this amazing structure. The inside is just as amazing as the outside. The cool serenest of the interior is remarkable. This is truly a place of God. This is definitely a must if you are in... More

First off, please be respectful. This is still a functioning church, not just a tourist attraction. The history and architecture will impress even the most jaded traveler. Even with the outstanding restoration of the original artwork there is still a strong feeling of antiquity.

This was really lovely to see out in the edge of Tucson, impressive nice architecture, beautiful artwork on the insides of the church & chapel, some lovely quiet spots to sit and muse. All of the outside areas were very nicely decorated with unusual gardens & fenced in areas that call to meditation. A very nice walk about. Definately a... More

Joe has been out there for many years. His handcrafted jewelry is unique and precious as well. We were very happy to see him again at his place.

I went with some friends to this Mission. The church building is very beautiful inside and out. We were there in March so the weather was pleasant. There are several gift shops on the property that have many hand made items for sale. I believe that most if not all of the hand made items are made by native Americans.... More

I hit the wrong button. The Mission is beyond excellent. It is a must visit on a trip to Tucson. Take a free docent tour between 9am and noon every day but Sunday. Its a beautiful and fascinating place.

This Church is spectacular. We have seen many cathedrals and were amazed by the quality and craftsmanship of this church when it was made. The church closes down at 5pm sharp and if you want there is a hill/mini mountain next to the church that you can walk up that gives amazing views. There is also a rocky top that... More
