I gave this Cathedral five stars because I am still in awe of the murals in the vestibule. There's parking for $ 5 across the street but Don't do that. The Cathedral has it's own free parking. They don't mind if you come in and take photo's. In fact the only time that you can't do so is during masses... More

I visited this site while playing tourist in my home area. To be this close to the downtown area, in a city of 1 million plus, I was thinking this would be a hectic area. It was very peaceful and quiet in the neighborhood and on the grounds. The Spanish Baroque architecture was also very beautiful and great for taking... More

Beautiful old cathedral, would have loved to attend a mass. Very helpful volunteers willing to answer any question. I lite a candle for my father.

Although this is a tourist spot, it is still an active cathedral. My husband and I had a morning of free time while visiting our son in Tucson so decided to view some of the cooler, quieter venues. Although the cathedral is in the downtown area, the campus itself is very peaceful and beautiful inside and out. Apparently the doors... More

St. Augustine Cathedral is well worth a stop if visiting Downtown Tucson. It is lovely to look at inside and outside. The Spanish Colonial Revival exterior features a sandstone facade that displays a saguaro, yucca, horned lizard and various local cacti. The structure also displays a pair of truncated towers. Inside, the entrance room shows off a nicely done mural design... More

We came to this Cathedral for Mariachi Mass about 14 years ago and loved the lively music and atmosphere, even though the entire mass was in Spanish and only my mom could understand what was being said. So, on this trip we were planning on the same experience when we brought our kids while vacationing in Tucson. However, when we... More

Well maintained Cathedral Church of the Catholic Diocese of Tucson. Were blessed to meet the Bishop after Mass. Stop in to say a prayer on your visit here.

What a beautiful stunning, picturesque cathedral. This is a Tucson original with some renovations going on. It is awe inspiring when entering and looking up and seeing the very tall ceiling and the stained glass especially above the loft, the major focal point. It makes you feel good to walk in and see this gorgeous structure. A must see when... More

Wish they would restore this building. It looks lovely in front and from a distance, but it's pretty much falling apart.
