I played Ventana Canyon in October. They had recently overseeded, so the course was cart path only. That said, the course was in great shape, the fairways and greens were beautiful. Course architecture was stunning. Great price point for a Fazio course. Everyone I met at the facility was great - the starter was really friendly. Pace of play was... More

We played the Mountain Courese at Ventana Canyon this morning. First group off the first tee at 7:30 am. The weather was perfect, and so was the course. They had just opened the Mountain course after some maintainence, and this place was just great. The fairways were like carpet and the greens were almost flawless. Since it had been raining... More

This course is tough but fair if you hit good shots. Greens were good and rolled true if you hit the right line. Fairways were a little soft so not much roll. Some of the holes were so scenic that I had to really focus on playing. All in all great day of golf.

I think this is one of the toughest but prettiest golf courses I have played. Tom Fazio created a masterpiece. Anywhere we looked it was a picture postcard. There is no GPS on the carts which for a course of this caliber and price was a surprise. Greens are perfect, fairways groomed to perfection, and sand traps a challenge. One... More

We enjoyed our round at this course. Conditions were excellent and the holes were very picturesque and memorable. We also liked the ability to play a mix of tee boxes to get the distance we wanted. The only downside is that it was difficult to find the clubhouse upon arrival, and it was frustrating to waste time getting turned around.... More

Played here while staying at the hotel on business recently. It is a beautiful and challenging course. In great shape, though greens could have been a bit better cared for. The holes were challenging and very picturesque. Several of the par threes were vey unique. The only real problem is that the signage between holes is TERRIBLE! We had no... More

The mountain course features some very unique holes with big elevation changes. The fairways are generally wide and receptive. The greens are also generally large and putt very well. The over-all quality of the course is very good. It has desert features while still giving you park-like holes. Definitely a must play if you are in Tucson.

We played this course and enjoyed the views and the fairways were in magnificent shaped. Unfortunately the greens are not in good shape. We asked the ranger and he told us that they were using a new system for aerating. There are lines in the greens and if your ball gets caught in one of them, it doesn't run true... More

Fun course, very scenic, some great signature holes, above average condition. Round today was 5 HOURS! When I mentioned this to the pro shop staff, his reply was "we are still in busy season, it's the risk you take". Pathetic. Never saw a marshall (one was around supposedly) but once again this attitude about painfully slow pace of play should... More

This course is a good test in the desert. It is very spread out and it feels almost like you are in an enclosed area die to brush and cactus. This course would be very difficult to walk. It is a mile from 9 green to 10 tee. Literally. I would recommend it however. Good, friendly service.
