Visited the museum of miniatures this month for the first time with our grandson's first grade classroom. Was disappointed that they did not have docents or someone to discuss the displays with the kids. Also, they did not have any audio/visual displays to hold the kids interest. The only thing our group of kids liked was "searching for the little... More

Oh no! It sounds like your grandson's teacher chose a self-guided tour? Our regular school tours are docent led, one docent per 10 students and they tie the tour back to curriculum students are studying. We even offer a free outreach visit and activity to prep students in advance and have a program where schools can apply for a grant... More

A wonderful experience for children and adults. Not to be missed if you live in or are visiting Tucson. There is no way to describe the depth and variety of exhibits. It is a real treasure. Take a small flashlight so you can look all the way back in the doll houses. Have gone 4 times.

Very friendly and informative staff, affordable and easy parking. Not too busy during the weekdays. OK to see once, not likely to go back again.

First visit was a real surprise. I'm not really into miniatures, but the displays here are so good that there's a lot to see, and to think about, because the miniature houses particularly represent different places and different time periods. Back in Tucson this winter, we went again, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time.

They say everyone needs a hobby and this museum focuses on a hobby I did not think I would have any interest in. There was a sale going on so the admission was reduced and I had heard it was something I just had to see, so although I was skeptical, I decided to go have a look. It took... More

This was, hands down, one of the best museums ive visited with my elementary age child. We aren't fans of dollhouses or faeries, so we weren't sure what to expect and didn't think we would stay long. Wow, were we wrong! We spent two hours admiring the incredible miniature displays that ranged from ghoulish halloween scenes to absolutely remarkable miniature... More

Took the recommendation of Trip Advisor and visited this unique museum. We did not allow enough time which was a surprise as I did not think there would be that much to see at a museum focused on miniatures. Wrong. It is amazing what people collect. Not only were the exhibits set up in a way to capture your attention... More

We have family in Tucson and I thought we had seen pretty much all of the main local attractions. I was wrong! This museum is an absolute delight. The adults (parents and grandparents) loved it and so did the kids (though I should note I'm not sure how entertaining this would be for kids under 5). We really enjoyed the... More

I was mesmerized the minute I stepped inside this incredible museum of miniature displays! Never in my life have I ever felt so magically influenced (other than Disney) than I felt visiting the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures in Tucson. The amount of displays were more than adequate and the attention to detail in each one was beyond amazing!... More
