De Grazia Gallery in the Sun should be in the top 2 or 3 'must see' attractions in Tucson. There is simply nothing like it in town. Ted de Grazia was unbelievably prolific (thousands of paintings, mosaics, sculptures etc etc etc) over his lifetime, and it is obvious he took enormous joy in his work. He loved what he did... More

DeGrazia was simply a genius. He created one of the most unique art collection you will ever see. If you're into that Mexican-like style, you'll love everey second of visit in that place. I try to go there every time I'm in Tucson and I never feel bored also due to the concept of the place, which is very different... More

This was a fun place to visit. Touring is free and it gives you a good appreciation for the Tucson landscape. This prolific artist did beautiful work. The building is architecturally very interesting and cool even to the temperature. Staff could have been a bit more friendly, but other than that, would strongly recommend a visit!

Do not miss visiting this museum/gallery where Ted De Grazia lived and worked. It is a historical site. Allow time to visit every room in the museum/gallery, see the video, and visit the chapel next door.

The grounds don't take a long time to explore. But we enjoyed the chapel with its murals, the re-purposed building materials, the grounds, and the gallery. I had not heard of DeGrazia, but I recognized his work when I saw it.

We loved this beautiful gallery which is situated in the foothills. The gallery is free and just wonderful, the desert garden is also very pretty. The history of Ted DeGrazia is very interesting and the artwork is awesome.

Visited the museum May 24 - what a surprise. First surprise was no admission fee, although there is a box for donations. Biggest surprise was what a versatile artist DeGrazia was. He painted, sculpted, carved, made jewelry; he worked in oil, watercolor and pen and ink. This museum is clean, well kept and a real pleasure to wander through. The... More

I'm not a fan of de Grazia's startled, Oh!-Look-at my-wide-eyes! children, but the compound up in the Catalina foothills was a big surprise. It is an intimate look at the accomplished artist's life. The several buildings, interesting and well-kept, and a pleasant gallery are good for an hour or two. De Grazia did a lot more than black-eyed kids saying,... More
