The Tucson Museum of Art is a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, as are its historical surroundings. The art displays are exceptional, each level focusing on a specific type of artwork or theme. An extension of the main modern building are historical adobe homes in which Western artwork is displayed. You won't want to miss any of the exhibits.

I am constantly surprised by small city art galleries. They are often a fraction of the size of their larger counterparts, carrying lesser known works (on the world scale), but are full of interesting pieces, works by really talent artists that you might have otherwise never found out about... TMA is a great museum. There are temporary exhibitions, well put... More

My wife and I were in Tucson for a few days and we are not used to the heat so we have been looking for indoor things to do. The museum was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The exibits were interesting and informative. Seemed like they had regular changes in the exibits so that going back again... More

I've visited the museum dozens of times, and I keep coming back. Here are a few things to know: - Street parking is free on weekends. If you're coming during the week, the museum has a free (but small) parking lot near the corner of Telles St. and Meyer Ave. And street parking during the week is cheap... - If... More

Nestled within an area, not quite downtown and not quite university, is the Tucson Art Museum. Visited on a hot summer day (late May.) found a number of quite good exhibitions....if one were to look at the calendar during my visit time, they would see a Mexican exhibit timeframe which had a number of prints by David Sequiros which I... We always look forward to visiting this museum and lucked out with free admission on Sunday during folk festival. The shop always has wonderful items for sale and great gift ideas. Well worth a visit and parking free.

Enjoyed the street art fair with booths and food. Silly system for paying for items at the street fair....you must take a piece of paper inside the museum then go back and get your item at the booth. Never have seen such a thing...let people pay, take their item and go. Almost didn't bother but glad I did, love the... More

We love art fairs, and TMA's Spring Artisan Market art fair was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours wandering around high-quality local art. Nicely laid out, a wide variety of artists and media, very well-presented and clean. Be sure to check out the catered items in the lobby next to the cashier, everything looked delicious (especially if you... More

We went to the Tucson Museum of Art primarily to view the Miradas exhibit of Mexican contemporary art. We were also treated to 4 other exhibits which were quite diverse. There was a booklet explaining the different artists and their works for the Miradas displays. One of the other exhibits was the pottery of Rose Cabat, who at 100 years... More
