The do sell jewelry and hand made clothing, but the hand made chocolate is to die for..you are offered free samples as you enter and the are left to check out the mustard samples in the kitchen as well as the displays of reasonable priced jewelry. One room features sugar free chocolate. They make everything in their kitchen; even the... More

Monica's Chocolates is a definite stop if you are in the Lubec area. There are shelves and shelves of beautifully hand-crafted chocolates. They provided free samples and informed us that they make everything from scratch in their downstairs kitchen including their own caramel and filings. The candy is wonderfully delicious. There are molded lobsters and shells. The truffles with wine... More

Selection and flavor's are exciting and very tastey! Also has a website to order. Monica is from South America and her work ethic exemplifies it.

Not only are Monica's chocolates tasty, they are works of art. I love the chocolates that look like real clam and scallop shells, the beautifully wrapped bon bons, and large selection of hand crafted assorted chocolates that make wonderful gifts. The chocolates are pricey, but each is so rich and delicious that they are well worth the price. In addition,... More

On a whim, we took a day trip way down east and stopped by Monica's Chocolates. We we greeted warmly and treated to several samples of the most delicious bonbons, Of course, we had to buy some. The store is very well organized, with beautiful displays of jewelry, alpaca sweaters and chocolate, as well as other local merchandise. Stop in,... More

Go, sample, take home some bonbons. They are unreal! They are sold individually, or you may purchase them in a package of the same flavor, or a variety of flavors. So good!

After reading an article in Downeast magazine several years ago we were determined to visit Monica and her chocolates! She greets visitors at the door and offers samples of various truffles. No one leaves empty-handed from Monica's.

My husband scoped this place out and we were so happy! Delicious chocolates, well organized, clean store, nice merchandise. Please, do yourself a favor and get the blueberries in chocolate, not the truffle kind, just the plain blueberries in plain chocolate. Ours came in a white box with three palm-sized pieces. Very nice. (Amazingly, our chocolates did not even melt... More

This is a mandatory stop on your way to Quoddy Light or Campobello. Monica has been making chocolates in Lubec for years, and luckily you can get them by mailorder, because once you have a bonbon or any of her confection creations, you'll want more! The chocolates are handmade on site and always delicious. Our only disappointment was with the... More

The chocolate is top-notch, easily comparable to the very highest end shops. The Alpaca goods are imported by the owner from Peru and are of excellent quality. Nothing here is cheap, but oh, do you get what you pay for! I purchased two sweaters, as I am allergic to sheeps wool but not alpaca, and I have never seen such... More
