The business is run very smooth. We were greeted with friendly smiles and treated with appreciation for out business. The horses are all rescue horses and in good health. Suggestions: Take camera and water bottle as they have saddle bags for your convenience. Expectations: Wonderful scenery and friendly tour guides.

My nieces and their mom took a lunchtime ride out of the Sombrero stable that is located in Allenspark. The wranglers were very nice and took them out for a beautiful ride and picnic in a meadow. They came back raving about the horses, Ingrid the German shepherd, the scenery, the stories and were very pleased with the experience.

Sombrero Ranch is the perfect place to go horseback riding, even if you've never been on a horse before. The Estes Park location is right on the edge of town and easy to find. They have rides for all skill levels and vary in length. Bring your camera, a water bottle, rain coat and hat, they ride rain or shine.... More

Great Ride. Great interaction with the wranglers. Reasonably challenging for a public ride. Waiting time seemed a little long.

The ranch didn't look like much upon approach, but the hospitality, employees & ride was pleasant. The horses are in good shape & have easy temperments. Our wrangler Doc looked gruff at first but he was quite the conversationalist & we enjoyed our 2 hr ride with him. Their was 5 of us on the ride, 9 yr old daughter,... More

The trip is beautiful, since you enter the mountains by horse. Upon booking I could opt for an experience level, which suggests that they define the groups based on the experience of the riders. It turns out this is not the case. The complete tour is just stepping. The terrain obviously does not allow e.g. gallop, but it would have... More
