This was the first time my son and I fly fished, and it couldn't have been better. This four four trip was a gift from my wife and our guide Ben Brown not only taught us the basics of fly fishing but made sure we had fun catching both rainbow and brook trout. Kirks made sure we were outfitted with... More

Husband and 10 year old daughter had a great day fly fishing with John, their guide. Highly recommend!

Stopped at Kirk's to check out the store and their offerings. Since I am not a beginner to the world of fishing, I just decided to rent some gear and go out on my own. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rented waders and a rod from them for 3 days since I packed some of my own gear along, that... More

This 4 hour trip was a gift from my wife via groupon. I am a newbie and was excited but apprehensive about his trip. My guide Chris Smith assured me that I would have a great time and told me that I would catch fish. I really thought he was kidding about catching fish. I was outfitted in waders, boots... More

We did a 6-hour guided fly fishing trip with Kirk's Fly Shop on June 2nd for our 30th Anniversary. Granted, we were initially hooked by a Groupon offer - but based on reviews we extended the 4-hour Groupon trip another 2 hours. There were five of us, with two guides for the group. We all caught fish: Rainbows, Browns, Cutbows... More

My wife and I purchased a Groupon for Kirk's Flyshop with the expectation of just getting outdoors and maybe catching a fish or two. Boy were we wrong! Not only did we spend 4 hours in some of the most beautiful country but we did it while catching nearly 25 fish. Eric, our guide, put us on fish immediatley and... More

My daughter bought this for me for my visit to CO. Highly recommended afternoon. Ryan was our guide and he was most knowledgeable and friendly, explaining step by step the process, whys and wheres. We were outfitted at the store and took a quick ride to a local stream. Was a little disappointed we could not go to Rocky Mountain... More

We did a half day walk/wade fly fishing trip with a guide, James, from Kirk's fly shop. James was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed fishing with him. We fished the tail water of the Big Thompson River just below the Estes Lake Dam. We did fine fishing and although we didn't love the river, we were impressed... More

We were a little disappointed to not fish is a beautiful location (we fished just beneath the dam of lake Estes), but our guide knew where to take us so we would catch fish. We got lots of practice casting and caught 5 fish each. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the sport and we enjoyed our time... More

I took a 4 hours Fly Fishing trip with Ryan Nixon on 4/18. This one one of the better trips I have had in a few years. Ryan was very helpful, knew the local fishery well and we were out on the water and had landed the first fish of the day in a matter of minutes with plenty more... More
