Fun Small Town Movie Theater- First Opened in 1913

Love small theaters (that are sadly disappearing). This theater first opened in 1913 and its projection system has recently been upgraded to digital and digital 3D. They also... read more

My husband and I really wanted to see a movie here on the last day of our trip.... Sadly, we left without buying a ticket. The staff (particularly on lady...assuming a manager) was disorganized and rude. We tried to buy a ticket and we were told we had to wait an hour before the tickets were going to be sold.... More

Love small theaters (that are sadly disappearing). This theater first opened in 1913 and its projection system has recently been upgraded to digital and digital 3D. They also have a beer and liquor license for concessions. When I was there, the theater lobby had been inventively done over in a Pac Man theme (vintage machines, designs on the carpet, oversize... The oldest continuously run movie theatre in the United States. Updated and remodeled with digital projection. Good concession stand prices.

We've all been to current theaters with stadium seating and gigantic screens, but this was a unique experience while visiting the oldest theater in the U.S...lots of history and atmosphere. We could also tell that the couple who runs it (takes payment and tickets) really cares for the theater.

Going to the theater brought back many fond memories of going to this theater when I grew up in Estes. It is a historic theater and the experience is unique. It doesn't matter what movie they show, I always go when visiting Estes just for the experience. Hope to see it continue to run for a long, long time.

Who goes to the Rocky Mountains to watch movies? Not us. But on a nasty weather afternoon, we decided to see Pitch Perfect 2 at the Park Theater...really fun experience! Vintage decor, friendly folks running the place, and quality picture and audio. It wasn't IMAX, of course; but then, no IMAX theater will ever have the Park's charm. Recommended!

There are many other things to do in Estes Park, but if you want to catch a show this isn't terrible.

Working in the guest services business and coming in contact with thousands of ppl in Estes Park, I will never recommend this place. We had a group of friends in town and wanted a place to watch a preseason Broncos game. We approached the lady at the window who refused to speak and kept tapping/pounding the glass window with the... More

We had no idea the oldest motion picture theatre in the US was in Estes! It was so different and well, COOL, inside! We love to watch movies on the big screen, and to be able to be transported back in time with such nostalgia was a great experience. You will not find any theatre like this again, I'm sure... More

I have been to Estes Park many times but had never bothered taking in a movie with so much else to do. This time around, they were showing a kids movie that my 8 yr old wanted to see, so I figured what the heck, let's try it. What an interesting experience! From the moment you walk in the door,...
