Enjoyed the views and helpful info from rangers and volunteers at visitors' centers. Drove across Trail Ridge Rd from west to east on Sunday, July 20th, saw only a few animals on the way. still a pleasant drive.

Wasn't too crowded even during July. Road was in good condition and the Information center directed us toward less crowded areas when asked.

This is a must-see if you are in the Estes Park area. It is a great day trip with plenty of places to stop and take photos. We will definitely do this again.

This is the highest road in the US. Check your fear of heights while driving at your hotel. Stunning drive but just be prepared to take your time and drive slowly. Fantastic 5 hour adventure.

Pretty scenic drive, but when the sign at the bottom says "be aware of rapidly changing weather" it means it. The drive started out at the bottom as partly cloudy, but pretty weather. By mid way up it was windy and raining, then snow. That was in July!

Travelling on the trail ridge road is an awesome experience. It has lots of places with Breathtaking scenery where you can park and enjoy the views. It has lots of Trail Heads of various levels of difficulty. It goes to a great height and we can see Tundra Vegetation.

We drove from Estes Park to enter the Rocky Mountain National Park. They accept the National Park Pass. We stopped at Hidden Valley to have lunch. There are picnic tables, bathrooms and chipmunks to eat with. Pull off on Iceberg Pass to play in the snow! At the Forest Canyon pull off, we saw a herd of elk. Make sure... More

In nice weather, the views can be breathtaking. Leave early in the morning to avoid the afternoon storms.

Not sure we would drive this route but toured all the way to the top with Rocky Mountain Rush Tours. The view is not to be missed.
