My family visited the store on 3/11/2014 to discuss skiing and necessary equipment prior to going to Eldora Ski resort, Nate Protsman help us and spent close to two hours outfitting my family for the trip and providing directions as well when to be there and everything we needed. Afterwards we mentioned we needed lessons and after all that work... More

I had never been snowshoeing or cross country skiing and these guys were so helpful with advice on where to go and what to do and what gear to rent. Can't say enough nice things about the staff, good people. And the prices are good. They have a bargain basement that had some great buys on coats and shirts and... More

The innkeeper at StoneBrook Resorts recommended we come here for snowshoe rentals -- GREAT recommendation! We were visiting Estes Park from Colorado Springs and knew we wanted to snowshoe while in the area. The staff at Estes Park Mountain Shop were knowledgeable but also really approachable. The guy at the rental counter made appropriate recommendations and outfitted us to go... More

Thanks to Dave of the East Park Mountain Shop, I could experience a great climbing nearby Estes Park. A strongly suggested shop for those that need equipment and assistance for hiking (also backcountry), climbing and camping in the Rocky Mountains National Park. Margherita (Italy)

We decided that to make our trip to Estes Park a complete experience we needed to try our hand at fly-fishing, something we had never done before. We booked a 4 hr. trip on July 23 with Estes Park Mt. Shop and it turned out to be our favorite activity on the whole trip. Our check-in was seamless and quick... More

Took kids to do some indoor climbing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They got everyone fitted with gear and were really good with encouraging them on climbing. Cost $15 for 3 climbs. Really fun for everyone. Would go again. The store looks well stocked...didn't really looked around it much.

We always stop here on our way into hike, climb, etc...they always have a good deal on something you are looking for. Tons of North Face, Marmot, and the likes. Good selection of hats and sunglasses. Really anything you need for the outdoors at very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and helpful.

What happened to this place? The staff, especially the weekend crew and its female manager, no longer allow customers to browse without pouncing on them and aggressively trying to make sales. This once was a gem of a store. No longer.

Sorry for the experience you had, that individual no longer works here, and was in fact, not a manager. We take our customer service very seriously and pressuring customers is definitely not what we're all about. We hope you come visit us again soon, we're sure you'll find it a pleasant experience. - Rob More

Our family of 5 adults did a fly fishing trip with Estes Park Mountain Shop. It was a great experience with knowledgeable guides. We each caught at least one fish with about 8 total and and hooked up on probably 12 or more. Great fun! We also did the downhill bike tour from the top of Trail Ridge with New... More

Family rental for bikes for 4 hours ($25 per bike for the 4 hours plus $3 for the lock - helmets included). Took almost an hour from the time we arrived until we actually hit the bike path - no, they were not busy. This included a delay, having to check in downstairs to pay upstairs to go back downstairs... More
