My husband and I signed up for a three hour snowshoe tour with the Estes Park Mountain Shop and we couldn't have been more happy with our experience. The shop made sure we were will prepared for the hike with great snow boots and snoeshows all included in the price. Additionally, our guide Mike went above and beyond by loaning... More

Wonderful place to get geared up for fun in the national park. I rented snowshoes and poles for only $6/day. They worked great and I really liked how helpful the staff was. Checkout was quick and easy. The shop offers any items that a hiker may need. I purchased a sweet pair of warm winter gloves for only $20! This... More

We've rented snowshoes and sleds to enjoy the winter activities at the park. Everybody in the shop was helpful and nice. Told us we didn't really need any snowshoes for the trail we planned to do - we highly appreciate the honesty! When we asked for an advice where to go snowshoeing we were advised to a great place. They... More

Snowshoes were only $5 and $6 with poles to rent for a day - rental process was very smooth and the staff knowledgeable and helpful, even told us "no need for renting boots today" and he was right, as we strapped the snowshoes to our hiking shoes and sneakers for this trip in February (don't forget to wear wool socks... Estes Park, Colorado has so many great places to explore. The Mountain Shop is a delight to visit. Personally I lose track of time when visiting. So much to see and the atmosphere is breath taking. Its a slice of heaven on earth. There is never a bad moment

We were debating between Estes and couple of other mountain towns to spend a day, and we picked coming back to Estes specifically to visit this store! All of the prices are good, and the bargain basement is amazing. I bought a black, quarter zip, slim-fitting jacket retailing at $79 for $35 because it was in the basement and there... More

This is always a must when you visit Estes Park. My only complaint is their sizes are limited for women. Women over size 14 like to hike and fish. I don't like to purchase mens wear, I want the same thing smaller women wear, just in my size. A comfortable 16. If you are looking for bargains go to the... More

My son and I have been to Estes Park three times in the past year. Every time we needed anything or had a question, we went to the Estes Park Mountain Shop. We've had various people help us with every visit and each time have received excellent service, information and patience. Not only with us, but hearing the staff interact... More

The little ones get books with instructions on what to look for while driving up the mountain. At the top they meet with a Park Ranger and answer questions ... then they get sworn in as a Jr. Park Ranger with a badge and all ... great fun! Lots of great shopping to remember the trip too! Beautiful area!

Not wanting to spend $1500 a day at a ski resort for 5 people who have never been skiing before - we were told by locals to go to Estes Park Mountain Shop and rent some ski equipment and go to the old ski place at Rocky Mountain National Park. We rented ski's, snow board, clothes, boots and sleds. We... More
