First, their staff is fantastic, especially the bearded guys in the basement. My husband and I went in, looking for a long sleeve pull over shirt each...almost $500 later...we bought so much great gear, from work out, to hiking, we also needed to buy a large fold up bag to get it home in and guess we saved 1/2 to... Stopped in to find a gift for my daughter who loves to climb. I was looking for a momento of the Estes Park climbing area and the staff helped find shirts that they wear also. Also learned about the history of the town. If you are looking for outdoor hiking, camping, climbing gear or want to do some indoor climbing... More

We needed hiking boots for the day but I knew I would make this purchase as an investment for the summer. The owner of the store was very helpful and gave me the reasons why she chose to carry the brand of hiking boots she had; besides the boots being durable she had several pairs for different hiking needs. I... More

My buddies and I were in the park for the weekend. We rented a bunch of full suspension bikes for some MTBiking and cruising around town. The crew here was great, even checking in on us to see where we were planning to go because a major rain storm came in the night we got there and they didn't want... More

We were visiting Estes Park from Maryland recently and the weather decided not to cooperate with the clothing we'd packed. So, off we went to the Mountain Shop! Great experience and amazing selection. The place is enormous and has a mix of name brands and knock offs that are all over the map in pricing. With the expert assistance of... More

Our snowshoe trip with Mike Caldwell (yes, he is the father of Tony Caldwell for those of you who know, the famous climber who climbed Yosemite's El Capitan) was the highlight of our trip. The trip was amazing, the weather was perfect, and we got a chance to see those crazy skiers doing the downhill ski from the top of... More

My husband and I signed up for a three hour snowshoe tour with the Estes Park Mountain Shop and we couldn't have been more happy with our experience. The shop made sure we were will prepared for the hike with great snow boots and snoeshows all included in the price. Additionally, our guide Mike went above and beyond by loaning... More
