There is four miles of trail that loop Lake Estes with a connection to go over to the park in the Fairgrounds area on the other side of the highway. For those looking to walk it, the first 1.5 miles from the visitor center towards the marina are the prettiest. You may prefer to do an out an back. The... More

The views are magnificent. Very busy spot...every type of small craft. Boat safety seems to be a major concern which is paramount with kids around water.

We love walking around this lake. It is a nice trail and a good get away when in town. It is very relaxing to start at the visitor center and walk a mile or so and then turn around and come back. Trail/sidewalk has distance markings.

My husband, our 8 year old and I went to the marina in July 2014 to rent one of their pedal carts. It was fun to enjoy the scenery of Lake Estes and the mountains while pedaling on the path along the lake. The workers gave us instructions on how to use the pedal cart and how far down the... More

Estes Park is beautiful. Lake Estes is a must see because yous can see the entire area. There is a fee for boat rentals as well as canoes and platoons. You can also drive downtown and this is a great gateway to Rocky Mtn Ntnl Park. On the way, stop at the Gyro shop on your right hand side driving... More

Not everyone can drag there toys to the lake. Look for the Marina to fill the gap and get you going with bikes or boats or kayaks. Friendly good folks to deal with!!

Good exercise and great views kayaking on Lake Estes. You can get some nice photos from out on the lake but be careful not to get your camera wet if it's not waterproof. Great little shop with lots of useful things. Friendly staff.

Able to rent kayaks, sail boats, and pontoon boats to go out on Lake Estes. Pricey but, nice views of Estes park from the lake.

We rented the pontoon boat for 30 minutes, which was just about right to cruise around the lake and get some cool photos.
