It is so-o pretty. Moutains, valleys, rivers, lakes, it has them all. Plus snow when we were there, making it even more beautiful. Driving thru the clouds was fun. Again, go before the seasonal rush, you can enjoy it then. More

We've travelled this road many times and its always a treat. Parts of the drive take you through rock canyons with a rushing stream on your right or left. other parts take you over passes with vistas of majestic, towering peaks in the distance, scenes of stunning beauty. You go through gorgeous dense forests (so far, undamaged by the pine... More

This is a great drive, though some sections of the road could use some repaving. Get off the main highway once in awhile and see the forest and streams, and some of the cabins and homes off the beaten path. The only negative feelings we experienced were regarding the dangerously low water levels in the area lakes. Lily Lake is... More

Colorado doesn't have the hardwood colors, but the Aspen with the sun behind them and a breeze can be a fun sight to see. The road takes you through some nice scenery and has some nice towns along the way, with the gambling of Blackhawk along the way. More

Being I drove this daily to work I never got tired of the drive. It's calming and very beautiful. It has small towns along the way for stopping to eat or just to pull off and admire the view. More

A beautiful drive. Need to be careful, as you are up high and driving many curves. Be sure to stop at Lily Lake for a stroll and maybe dine at the Bald Pate Inn nearby. More

Thisi is a wonderful trip for the hale and hearty. Don't try it if you are coming from low elevations and have respiratory problems. We have seen many who did at the local hospital. The cure? Get to lower elevation fast. Only tundra in the continental US. Lots of wildlife, especially elk and big horn sheep. More
