This is a nice alternative to other highways. It provides very lovely scenic views of the mountains and seems to have less traffic.

Another of God's creations ! Breathtaking views ! Drove from Estes to Central City......... Be sure to stop at the church in St. Malo, right on the highway, rumour has it since the Pope thought it was nice enough, you can take a few minutes there, it's very peaceful........ Several old mining towns along the way, you can even try... More

I liked that this was a drive without to many stomach dropping feelings of looking over cliffs, which I don't like anymore. There were many beautiful views along the way, places to pull over and get good pictures. We drove this from Evergreen over to Estes Park. Traffic wasn't bad at all considering the detours from last years flooding.

Slow down and get off the interstate for some dramatic views of rock climbers on magnificent mountains. Friendly people in the towns along the way.

Perhaps I was jaded by all of the amazing scenery we had already experienced, but it didn't feel this drive was worth the special day trip we gave it. If you are traveling that way, it might be worth it, but keep in mind it will add significant travel time to your day. If you're thinking of day trips, there... More

This was a fun drive to make to get us from Estes Park to Denver. Highly recommend doing and make stops in the quirky towns. Don't miss Lily Lake for scenery and Wild Basin for waterfalls.

It doesn't get any better than this. Excellent drive, views, places to pull off the road and the park rangers are very polite.

Nice scenic ride to Estes Park. Doesn't compare to Trail Ridge Road or Pike's Peak drive, but wasn't tired of the view at any point during the drive.

Great scenic drive and a great way to get up to RMNP from Denver or Boulder. We drove this way out of the park, so we were very spoiled from the wonders of Trail Ridge Road, but this drive is still very much worth the trip.
