Not for those with weak constitutions - pack a lunch and make a full day out of it. There's a lot of interest points to stop at along the way - bring a fishing rod and your license to fish the other side of the range too.

We drove from Estes Park to Central City September 25 and every time we were around 9000 feet we had spectacular fall colors. The sun was bright, the sky deep blue and the blazing aspen would shut down the camera lens.

I did not dislike anything in this nice town. I loved the ride there and the little shops and restaurants that they have to offer along with the beutiful views of the mountains.

The Peak to Peak Highway is beautiful in all regards. It follows the approximate ridge line of the Colorado Rockies from Estes Park to Central City and is full of places to stop, things to see, and quaint little towns along the way. I highly recommend a leisurely drive any time you get the chance.

We did a lot of driving in the mountains during our trip, I wouldn't say the peak to peak highway was necessarily super special

We decided to take this scenic drive instead of the highway so we could just stroll along and enjoy the scenery. I can say it didn't disappoint! We stopped along the river where we took beautiful pictures and enjoyed our time in nature. It was pleasant and gave our young girls a great experience.

This gorgeous mountain drive offers spectacular views without the hair-rising drop offs that sometimes accompany mountain driving. Beautiful way to get to Estes Park if you have the time.

I am only saying average on this review because there is so much more to do in and around Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. If you have kids or may otherwise become tired from hiking then this is a wonderful option to see some great sites and nice little towns.

Take the time to stop in at Nederland to see the Carousel of Happiness. It's worth a quick stop. It is a mixture of old and new throughout the town. This road is wonderful, providing amazing views of the mountains with mother nature changing the view at every turn.

We took this scenic drive from north to south. Lake Lily was especially lovely and we saw an elk. We suspect, though, it would have been even more scenic to do the drive from Central City north--going toward the mountains at Estes Park in the distance rather than with our backs to them.
