We love this little road spring, summer, and fall. It's perfect for a good motorcycle drive. If you'd like, you can stop or start in Central City and Blackhawk for a little gambling. We prefer to stop in Estes Park for lunch or dinner when we make the trip. Traffic usually isn't too bad (except through Nederland) and the scenery... More

This is a nice drive but not nearly as scenic as RMNP Trailridge Road. You do pass thru some nice small towns along the way. It's a much nicer way to get from I70 to Estes Park then using I25 although it takes longer.

Did the Peak to Peak on the way back to Denver from Estes Park. It was a nice leisurely drive. You go through a few towns and do see some great scenery. Not as spectacular as the trailridge road biut a nice drive if you have the time. We also enjoyed the drive from Lyons to Estes park and not... More

Very nice drive with plenty of photo stops. The air gets pretty thin at 7500ft so I would stop along the way for your body to adjust.

Travelling from Australia and visiting the area we were not sure weather to travel to Idaho Springs via Peak to Peak Highway or through The Rocky Mountain National Park. After reading the reviews we chose the Peak to Peak Highway. This scenic route did not "Pop" for us. We have been travelling in the USA for fours weeks and have... More

The Peak to Peak is one of Colorado's scenic byways, but it is not well-marked and there are too few turnouts. Still, there are some good views, and the towns at the southern terminus, Black Hawk and Central City, are not to be missed!

We took this highway from Nederland to Estes and enjoyed it. It was fairly quiet on both our drives to and from Estes Park, which made it even better. I wouldn't make this a destination road but if you can use it to get to where you're going I would recommend it. Good views and you can go at your... More

We drove down the Peak to Peak Scenic Highway from Estes Park to Interstate 70, just south of Central City. The scenery is less majestic than the higher mountains of the Rocky Mountain National Park but it is still very pleasant and the highway has very little traffic. Certainly, a lot more relaxing than driving down the parallel Interstate 25.... More

We took with a friend a day up to the beautiful Estes Park. What great to mountains! and beautiful rock formation along the river. Estes Park, Colorado is the base camp for amazing adventures, we watched multiple groups rafting down the river, and the families bathing by. A nice getaway destination I guess. We stopped and had a lunch watching... More

I enjoyed the drive up Peak to Peak Highway from Denver up to Estes Park. Although there was some construction to the roads, it did not deter from the gorgeous mountain views. There are a few small towns to stop for gas, water and snacks along the way.
