The Peak-to-Peak Byway (a.k.a. CO Hwy 7 -72-119) always a treat to drive and enjoy. From Estes Park the road climbs and winds a bit south along the eastern border of Rocky Mountain National Park. Nice places to stroll at Lily Lake (sorry, the dog can't go, but can climb Lily Mtn with you just north of the lake. Look... More

Take your time and enjoy the beautiful ride. Windy roads, neat little towns, what a nice trip. There are so many nice roads through this area.

I have traveled this road for over 40 years, and never ever tire of it. A road with bookends of Estes Park and Nederland. Always see something new, all year long. Easy stops for hiking, camping, or just breathing in the Rockies beauty.

Only did 30 miles from Estes Park. Nice scenery. Couple of nice areas to explore. The Rockies are glorious, especially with snow on the ground and peaks. Saw NO wildlife.

Driving through the mountains, stopping along the way at scenic overlooks and just enjoying the views made for an entertaining afternoon. Don't miss a stop in Nederland for a relaxing lunch.

Took this drive while we were staying in Estes Park. If you love beautiful scenery, you'll love this drive! Evergreen trees, cool rock formations, rivers, and snow covered mountains offer complete tranquility. And if you're lucky, you might see deer, elk or some other wildlife. There was also a historic church and statue of Jesus along the way.

If you enjoy seeing countryside in the good Old United States, this road is a do not miss. It was not overly crowded but we were there in September. Kids were back in school. We saw tons of elk, bighorn sheep, birds, marmots, deer, stopped and did plenty of hiking. Just a beautiful ride. Take your time, stop and pull... More
