This is a must do drive for anyone visiting Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The views of the Rockies are absolutely stunning, it is worth the time and effort. You will likely see elk along the road, too, and possibly some moose.

Make this trip at least once a year sometimes seasonally. Great drive, must see, must do. The Views on the pull offs are awesome, Lovely drive - amazing views - great food almost anywhere along the way, fantastic picnic stops.

We drove south from Estes Park to Nederland. It was a nice drive but not as dramatic as going into Rocky Mountain National Park. There are a few very small towns in between, with some restaurants and shops.

Views -priceless. Opportunity to see sleepy mountain villages and stop and local artisans. Check out some yummy local eateries.

This is a magnificent drive in the fall. While the early snow made the road a little treacherous, the drive was well worth it. A magnificent scenic drive, if you can take your eyes off the road.

My wife and I enjoyed a very scenic, relaxing trip through the mountains. The weather was not the best, but it did not prevent us from taking in some splendid panoramas and from seeing the occasional wildlife. It all added to a lovely vacation in and around Estes Park.

The landscape is very nice, we pass in middle of the forest, in the rocks in same moments. The road is beautiful but we can ser many beautiful roads in Colorado, with a nice view too, like Breckenridge region, the road to Aspen...

Wow, what a great drive... This drive is simply breathtaking. We saw a couple of Elk. The roads are well maintained. This is a must do for us earlier in the fall next time!

We were here on 3rd week of Oct by which time the aspen trees had their leaves fallen (due to wind and weather !) Nevertheless scenery of the snow capped mountains were magnificent and majestic. The stone church (built in 1935) and Swiss alpine like houses could almost be a setting in Switzerland. By the way for the less initiated... More
