We saw an ad for this place in one of the tourist books and decided to stop on our way to Hawi. We were pleasantly surprised and fell in love with this place. They have samples of all kinds of macadamia nut products right inside the front door. The displays are nice and it is easy to find their products... More

The Hamakua Macademia Nut Co. is wonderful. You find all sorts of treats there. My favorite is the turtles. They have tasters so you can try before you buy and they are GREEN! They helped create a few jobs for the community and favor our environment. This is where you go to get REAL Macademia Nut treats. FORGET COSTCO!

Hotel staff recommended this facility over the other well known brand on the island. The processing facility is very impressive and informative, with video about the growing and processing of the nuts, and windows into the factory where they flavor and package their products. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tons of free samples of their many unique flavors including... More

We stopped by here to see how the macadamia nuts were processed/canned and to also taste the variety of macadamia nut flavors. It is a nice self-guided tour and you can taste as many nuts as you want. We bought several cans to take home. Although the Mauna Loa nuts taste better, the visit here is still worthwhile.

We stopped here "on accident" and didn't know it was even out here - but we saw the sign and decided to visit. We were pleasantly surprised at the very quaint gift shop, LOTS of free samples, windows to see into the packaging/processing area, and they had fun Hawaiian souvenirs. There were goats outside too - which was fun for... More

I could eat myself sick here. Not all the flavors will be to everyone's liking, but when you find the ones for you, stock up and ship a bunch home to yourself.

What a nice place to taste so many varieties of macadamia nuts, as well as cookies and coffee! Glad we took the time to come here, as I probably wouldn't have taken a chance on some of the flavored nuts if I hadn't tried them. Great selection and nice staff.

If you are on the Waikoloa side of the Big Island, take a trip here-it's a short drive. Unlimited samples of Mac nuts and coffee. You will leave with buying something because it's so good! This is a working factory so you see how they are cooked and packaged. The staff is friendly and not pushy.

Lots of tasting. Great flavors not found elsewhere...jalapeño macadamia nuts. Friendly staff. Beautiful drive to get there.

I liked it was a smaller scale than Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company. And I liked it was not as expensive as Mauna Loa.
