This nut processing plant makes for an interesting visit. Through the large windows you can look into the processing area, and in the general area you find a huge variety of their product: macadamia nuts, roasted, glazed, peppered, and even Spam( should this be to your liking). You can taste as much as you want. The only limit will be... More

We have visited this business on three occasions, We love the opportunity to taste their wonderful selection of Macadamia nuts as well as coffee. Their sales people are very pleasant and desirous that we try their product as much as we want. Needless to say, we purchased a number of their items. Well worth your time to visit.

We found this place thru our Alamo Car book. We were so happy to find a real factory that processed and packaged macadamia nuts and related products. They let you look at the factory thru big windows...today they were making coated popcorn. Their is an area to sit and watch a video on the whole nut growing, gathering and processing.... More

Visited the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company, one of the small but mighty indigenous businesses on the big island. They have a tasting room, class walled processing unit where you can see the nuts receiving their culinary treatment and a charming video of the process from beginning to end as videoed and narrated by the company owner. The glazed nuts are... More

This place is insanely wonderful!! It is like a mini-museum where you can see how the macadamia nuts are processed and packaged and then they have a huge showroom with every type of macadamia nut you can imagine. They also have samples galore! After trying about five different types I am convinced that the lightly salted are still the best!... More

Nice place to sample a dozen+ flavors of macadamias. You can learn how the harvesting process works to get the finished yummy product. Try the Spam and coconut glazed macs!

The guide led us through the "tour" (we went on a Sunday so that the machinery was still) and then we saw a video explaining everything. Actually, it was all educational. And their variety of nuts in the shop is terrific! Loved the sampling stations!

Love those macadania nuts but "on the mainland" they are so expensive!! Checked out this place on January 5th and wasn't disappointed. Lots to sample and to sample as much as you want. I mailed my purchased back to the states. It was great the Nut Company had USPS boxes available, they packed and delivered to the Post Office for me.

Nice drive up the west coast, beautiful views and an excellent shop in the way that sells all kinds of macadamia nuts. Used to be I didn't like macadamians but this place changes my mind! All kinds of free samples from nuts to pop corn to brittle in every flavour imaginable! Friendly friendly staff, great photo op from the nut... More
