I thought I spent enough time at Macadamia Nut places on the Big Island and wasn't NUTTY about visiting this place, but wanted to stay up on my NUTS. This place is clean, large, well organized, and a nice place to stop for an afternoon break or a morning shopping spree. The coffee samples are enticing and the selection of... More

not so much a tour as a walk past the windows looking in. Video presentations available and lots and lots of merchandise. Best place to get your chocolate covered Macadamia nuts. good quality dark chocolate and the nuts are grown on the island not in Australia as the ones sold in Costco are rumored to be..

Sample mac nuts, see how they are produced, purchase nice little gifts for everyone at home wanting a piece of Hawaii. Excellent excursion for the whole family. Ask for Duane. Tell him James sent you :) Btw, this company really strives to be a green company. Get the details from their website.

Tis place was a little off the beaten path and I would never have found it if someone had not told me about it. I was glad that we did though. This was a great find. They had samples of everything and they were not stingy either. I bought a pile of stuff. It was all good and it was... More

We loved this place because they had unlimited samples. Even after trying each flavor one time, they encouraged us to try some more. Very friendly and helpful employees. Great variety of flavors to try. Good prices. If you like macadamia nuts, go here to sample the different types of flavorings.

As I expected, this is primarily a store. We stopped by on a Sunday and though there was no production, a video was running to give you an idea of the operation. There were all kinds of flavored mac nuts and Kona coffees available for tasting and purchase. I was amazed at the variety of nuts available. I took advantage... More

We showed up around 3:30 pm and just our luck, they were shutting down the machines for the day. Their prices are very reasonable. They definitely had a lot of choices than the monopoly brand we see at the market in the States. The staffs are friendly, the store is huge. Huge table for self service samples on the nuts.... More

It only takes about an hour out of your day. The store is part factory where you can view how the macadamia nuts are packed or simply sit, eat an ice cream, and watch a brief film showing all the steps that go into producing the snack you eat. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Orders can be shipped... More

Enjoyed our stop at the factory store for Hamakua macadamia nuts. Great samples, nice coffee shop if you want some. Also they sell coffee as well. Ku'a coffee rocks. The boys loved seeing the factory workers running the machines. Go on a weekday to make sure machines are running. A plus is that the store prices are truly cheaper than... More

Visited friends on the Big Island (Kona) while on the Pride of America and got a wonderful tour of many places that you'd never see on a shore excursion. One of these places was the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Co. We had the opportunity to sample over a dozen different macadamia nuts as well as a couple of samples of Kona... More
